Hicks begins to walk away from the scattered ashes and burnt ground back towards his home.

(Argent)

"Woah woah woah, what do you think you're doing?"

(Hicks)

"Going home?"

(Argent)

"Jeez use your eyes and look at what that tiger left"

Hicks looks in the center of the burnt ground. There is something glowing. Hicks approaches it with caution

(Argent)

"The hell are you so scared for just pick it up"

Hicks goes and looks to see what it is. It is a white ball emitting a white glow

(Hicks)

"What is it"

(Argent)

"It's an iron back tiger core"

(Hicks)

"A core! I can sell this thing for so many spirit coins!"

(Argent)

"Or you can bring it home and get a piece of paper"

(Hicks)

"What the hell? What am I gonna do with a price of paper?"

(Argent)

"Just fucking go"

Hicks returns home and searches for paper

(Hicks)

"Jeez looks like I don't have any paper"

Hicks grabs the Flame Body Skill book and rips out an empty page. Hicks grabs the demon beats core and the piece of paper into the void

"Alright so what am I doing with this?"

(Argent)

"This is too complicated for you to learn since you haven't done this before so just give the core and paper here"

Hicks gives Argent the piece of paper and the core. Argent takes the paper in one hand and plops the core onto the paper and then text begins to form on the paper. Argent hands the paper back to Hicks

(Hicks)

"So what is this?"

(Argent)

"Well if you read it, it says 9 Iron Slashes, ''tis was the skill contained in the core"

(Hicks)

"Contained in the core?"

(Argent)

"You are still young so you probably don't know this, any kind of core that comes from a demon contains a skill. I'm not sure how it works but the God of Fortune says the God Of Evil made the Demon cores contain their memories. But for some reason skills are the only things that can be seen."

(Hicks)

"So whenever I kill a demon beast and it drops a core I have a chance to learn a new skill and get some extra money"

(Argent)

"That's a simpler way to put it, anyway how far are you into the Elemental Dragon Technique?"

(Hicks)

"I'm on the fifth page"

Argent looks at Hicks for a few seconds as Hicks stares back blankly and clueless

*now that I think about these books were written by mortals that were taught by Elemental Dragons, of course there may be more profound insights hidden in there. Elemental Dragons existed far before any Gods and from the legends Gods were born from the tears of the dragons. They taught immortals the Elemental Dragon Technique which was known to be the hardest technique known to man. From the hundreds of years I lived I heard each sect only has 1 copy of this technique, I am glad that we happened to stumble upon it. I didn't think my power of fortune would work so well*

Argent gives Hicks a thumbs up and smiles at Hicks but Hicks just stares at him awkwardly

"You look even more like a kid when you do that"

"Whatever, we'll pause your cultivation on the Elemental Dragon Technique, I want you to cultivate that 9 Iron Slashes technique. It's easier to use and adds to your small arsenal of skills"

Hicks nods and absorbs the paper. Then he sits down and starts cultivating.

After a bit a white aura surrounds him. A while more the right side of the tiger turns into fire in the shape of a tigers face while the left turns into electricity taking the form of the left side of a tiger's face.

Argent looks at Hicks and nods proudly and just stands there watching him

Back at the Zhang Daoling's isolation chamber Li Na enters.

(Zhang Daoling)

"Ah welcome back my student, how did it go?"

(Li Na)

"I believe the disciple Hicksbess may become a threat on the near future"

Zhang Daoling looks at Li Na

(Zhang Daoling)

"And why is that?"

(Li Na)

"He was able to turn an Iron Back Tiger into ashes in two attacks, he even used moves I've never heard of, they seem to be Elemental Dragon Techniques but I never heard of the ones he used"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Elemental Dragon Skills? I will go to the library later to investigate... how strong is Hicksbess?"

(Li Na)

"From my observation he is at Qi-Foundation Layer 8 but he has the power of a Bone-Forging layer 2"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Haha you must've made a mistake!"

(Li Na)

"I recommend you see for yourself"

"Hm, I will see tomorrow, you must be tired you should get some rest"

Some time later

(Hicks)

"I think I'm done"

(Argent)

"Finally and I'm sure there was no hidden things in this skill"

"There actually was it was the Iron bite, and the Iron Tigers Jaws, bit those include biting so I don't think I'm going to use those"

*His observational skills are godly! How did he see these things when I, am object created by a god didn't!*

"Mhm yes you shouldn't use that, you have been cultivating for a fe hours now you should go have some rest.

(Hicks)

"But I want to keep cultivating"

"If you don't eat you won't have the energy to cultivate"

Hicks pouts and leaves the void

*at his level he only needs to eat once every few weeks, his Qi should help nurture his body, I just need some time to think*

Hicks awakens on his floor. He looks around a realizes his shack is really dusting. He goes out to the Pavilion's farm and finds the chicken coup. He picks out a chicken and rips its head off. Blood splatters all over his clothes but he simply just wipes it, smudging it and making it worse. He takes the body back to his house and plucks the feathers. He ties the feathers to a stick and starts dusting his house. When he finishes he wanders around the Pavilion looking for things to do.

"Jeez I'm bored! There's nothing to DO HERE"

(Argent)

"Look behind you"

Hicks turns around and sees Zhuang Zhou

(Zhuang Zhou)

"Brother Hicks, over here!!"

(Hicks)

"Oh god no!"

Hicks starts running trying to avoid Zhuang Zhou but Zhuang Zhou chases him. Hicks turns a corner and runs into the library hiding behind a shelf. Zhuang Zhou runs right past the library.

Hicks wanders around the library and grabs a random book. He sits at a table and starts reading.

After reading the book for two hours he gets up to stretch and then sits back down.

(Hicks)

"Argent what do you think of this history book about the gods"

He goes into the void along with the book. And hands it to Argent who is laying down floating in the air. Argent flips through the book

"That book is pretty inaccurate. What's it called again?"

(Hicks)

"Um it's called The Bible"

(Argent)
