Chapter 49

Hay everyone, here's a new chapter. I know my current release rate has been very slow. I will promise at least one chapter a week, no matter what. A combination of life, work and honestly a bit of laziness during my free time has caused the slow releases. So yeah, no excuse. Anyway, enjoy the chapter, I'll try to release the next one sooner. Currently we are traveling through primal space to meet up with whoever I'm racing. By we, I mean all of us. Me, Axle, Arcueid, Altrouge, Satsuki and Fou. It turns out, Axle has long figured out how to bring people with him. I understand the basic idea, but it will take a lot of work.

The basic principle of it is, creating a barrier of sorts of force energy. Inside the barrier, everyone can safely travel. This I can easily do, it's the traveling part I can get. How do you move a barrier through space, let alone entering Omniverse space in it.

Leaving that for another day, I look at our travel companions for this trip. The girls demanded to come with, and then preceded to freak out after realising exactly what was happening. It was hilarious.

Once again looking at the endless expanse of nothingness, I wonder what I should do with my life. It's not an exaggeration to say I am completely OP broken. With only basic understanding of my power, I can vaporise planets. I'm pretty sure I could vaporise universes if I wanted to.

After the grail war, I'll probably spend time in fate. After that find my old home, then travel the Omniverse. Troll protagonist, prank and torment antagonist. Yeah that will be fun for a few lifetime.

"Okay, were here"

I'm taken out of my thoughts by Axle announcing our arrival. in a word, this world look normal. However Incan sense, something.

"Whats that"

Seeing Satsuki point at something, I take a look. What I see fills me with endless joy, a hole in the sky, a rather familiar hole. Axle's next words confirm it for me.

"That is the opening to Synapse. Come on, this way"

Synapse, it's Synapse. YES YESYESYESYES. Heavens Lost Property, It's Heavens Lost Property. I am not leaving without Ikaros.

Pulling out my bucket list I search for the specific line.

'Punch Bitch princess' (Shield hero)

'Kick Danzo in the dick' (Naruto)

'Bitch slap Boruto' (Naruto)

'Fuse Shou Tucker with the ugliest animal I can find'(Full metal alchemist)

'Beat the crap out of and torture Muzan'(Demon slayer)

'Get Ikaros'(Heavens Lost Property)

There it is, now to mark as in progress.

"She's just over there"

With that we leave the bubble that landed while was looking at my bucket list. Walking through the park, we see a beautiful woman sitting there. Wait, I know her, where is she from, I know it, damn I'm drawing a blank. That's it, that girl from Accel World, shit what was her name.

"Kuroyukihime, I'm back, an I brought the guy who will race you"

That's it, Kuroyukihime, damn that's a mouthful, no wonder I couldn't remember it. The black kind from Accel World.

"So this is the person you chose to race for you. Nice to meet you, I am Kuroyukihime, I'm looking forward to our race"

With that she extends her hand to shake. returning the gesture I grab her hand and we shake.

"Nicholas, nice to meet you. If I may ask, why a race"

Covering her mouth, she make a light chuckle.

"Heheh, no reason in particular, I just felt like it"

"Seems legit. So how are we going to do this"

"Can you create marker"

"Sure here"

Creating a marker in my hand, I pass the bead to her. Taking the bead, she look at it and smiles.

"I'll be back soon"

In an instant, she's gone.

"how did she do that, where did she go"

Looking at Altrouge who I currently freaking out, I answer.

"From what I can tell she's leaving this multiverse. Seeing as we're having a race, she probably placing it somewhere"

After a short wait she returned.

"Ok I'm back. I placed both our markers in the same place. For the race we will have to go collect our markers and return. Simple right. Create another marker here so you can find your way back"

Creating another marker I place it on a pedestal that just appeared, Kuroyukihime places her own right next to it. Looking at each other we get into position. Axle steps forward as the referee.

"If both our you are ready. On your marks, get set. GO"

And we're off. I don't rush ahead, instead I keep pace with Kuroyukihime. interestingly enough her speed seems to double with each step she takes, constantly getting faster. However it's nothing I can't match.

"Incredible. This is the first time anyone was able to keep up with me. The best I got was this guy Barry Allen, he was a hero called the flash. He initially had the lead however his speed inevitably had limits while I can get faster indefinitely. What force are you connected with"

"I'll tell you after the race. What about you"

"Same, after the race. Having said that, bye"

As she says bye, she touches my shoulder, and immediately I'm flying backwards just as fast as I was running.

"What the hell, its like my momentum was reversed. Momentum, could it be that she. If that how you want to play. Fine"

After stopping myself I run after her. If her power is really momentum, then she can get indefinitely faster, however, my power is speed, nothing and no one is faster then me. Except primordial speed. other then that, no one.

Running through in infinite expanse of nothingness, following the pull of the marker I eventually catch up to her.

"Miss me"

"What, how did you catch up so fast"

As she asks me in shock, while also swing at me trying to touch me. No doubt to manipulate my momentum.

"Momentum. That's your ability, isn't it"

"Clever, how did you figure it out. Nevermind, it was pretty obvious, wasn't it"

"Yep. And to reciprocate the favour, I'll tell you mine. Speed"

Hearing me, Kuroyukihime's eyes widen in shock.

"Speed. I see, I never stood a chance. While I can get faster infinitly, with enough time and distance, you can reach any speed you want instantly, Without limit. I never stood a chance"

Listening to her speech, I cant help but smile awkwardly at her. There she is, with that BS ability, and she's upset about me being instantly faster. What's her obsession with speed. Scratch that, never mind. Almost forgot what world she's from and the anime. Brain burst, enough said.

"Well, as fun as this is, I'm gonna go ahead and will now"

Finishing my piece, I speed up, running towards a multiverse that is now just coming into view, getting bigger the close I get.

Entering the world, I run towards the marker. When I find the markers, I look around the area.

"Wonder what this world is like. I'll leave a marker and check it out later"

Creating a new marker, I place it a good distance away from the goal, don't want her confusing the two. Leaving the world I start running back to Heaven's Lost Property. Ikaros, I'm coming for you. Also, win, the, race. Who am I kidding, I couldn't care less about the race right now. I just want my Angeloid.

Passing Kuroyukihime on my way back, I quickly arrive back at the goal. Looking at Axle, I give if a smile and nod.

"Mission accomplished"

"Thanks"

"Don't forget our deal. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have an Angeloid to get"

Before anyone can speak, I'm gone.
