Chapter 6: Discovery and New Powers

It was already past midnight when I got home but I wasn't sleepy due to the excitement I had from my first fight and was interested to know how the sacred gears work.

So to start my research I went into the basement and then sat down on the chair in my study room and then I passed both of my Mana and Chakra into my chair that in turn activated a series of Magic circles created by the runes that I found myself.

With the activation of the magic circle, the floor of the 0.5m area around the chair on which I was seated with the table in front of me started to descend.

In just 5 seconds I was in an underground Lab of mine that is created by digging the earth using earth manipulation by making full use of Multishadow clones and then hardening the walls of the dug portion.

This place is my secret lab that consists of two floors for now. The first floor contains my notes on my research on runes and some books on magic systems created by Merline in the past that I got by traveling to many antique and pawn shops and trying my luck in them to find some hidden gems.

The second floor consists of a 30x40 meters training ground and a ritual room where IT finds new runes like the ones that are used as a barrier core for the lab.

The first and second floors are separated by a 2m thick floor/ceiling that also contains the barrier core of the Lab, right now it is being powered by the Ley Lines that are passing through Kuoh, and thanks to my luck one of its branches is directly running under my house, so I am using it.

It has only been one week since the construction of the lab was finished.

To found new runes for my research I have to go through a long and difficult process that requires a calm mind and focus and a high degree of Energy control at Rank B at the lowest and it is not a problem for me as I already have [Energy Manipulation Rank B] that I achieve in 10 days by putting 10 clones on it for 24/7.

To find new runes I use my [Enchantment Rank D] skill that enchants objects with my desired effect at cost of my energy by engraving runes on that said object to give the desired effect.

I Got this skill two weeks ago when I read about how gods can enchant thinking with their thoughts only so I gave it a try as I can manipulate Energy itself like gods that have divinities.

And after fours days of practice, I did my first Sharpening enchantment on a kitchen knife and got the enchanter skill, then when I inspect the enchanted Knife I found some runes engraved on it and after some research I found that these runes are the things that give the sharpening effect to the Knife itself at cost of Energy, so from that day I daily research on new enchantment and found new runes after examining the enchanted object.

The Barrier Core of my la is also created by the same runes that I sound from my research, it takes the energy from Ley-lines and uses it to hide the presence of this place from any prying eyes and also reinforces the structure of the place itself while doing other things like running lightening of this place and the air purification system that is connected to the surface air through a pipe that is running from my house into the earth to this place and it's also hidden using some concealment runes.

Now back to the present after the floor stops descending and I reach the first floor of my lab I activate the barrier to separate it from the outside world.

Then I take out the two sacred gears from my inventory take the Blade Blacksmith one and use Appraisal on it but it doesn't give much information about it but still, it gave me an important piece of information that I can not only create blade weapons but also weapons like bows and other things both holy and demonic.

Then I get an Idea but I put it at the back of my head and I appraise the black one.

"Oh! Looks like my luck helped me again." I said to myself I will again read the information provided to me by Appraisal which is like this.

Shadow Army: High Tier sacred Gare

It creates servants of shadows at the host's will at the cost of his energy that has the copy of consciousness of warriors and other fighters from the past, strength, and skills of created servants depending on the will of the user and the amount of energy used to create them.

When mastered fully new skills can be given to already created servants and their strengths can be increased later.

It also gives the host the ability to control shadows as a side product.

Just as I finished reading I was really happy to know that it's a High Tier sacred Gare that is as rare as 1 in 500. Then I shook my head as I thought that the last owner of this was not even able to activate it fully and only used it to manipulate shadows which is a side product of its true powers.

Then a new system window appeared in my mind and it gave me an even greater shock.

I was in a daze for a good five minutes before I came to my senses and then I thought for a moment.

"It's not like I will be losing something. Instead, I will get even stronger and once it is fused with my soul as a Skill then even Rizevim Livan Lucifer won't be able to stop it." I said to myself

With that thought, I choose the 'accept' option.
