Mini Tournament

After a few seconds, a maid brought a three-floor cake. The couple cut the cake and the celebration started. The women were sitting on the sofas and gossiping. The men were sitting at the dining table drinking. All the kids were hanging out on the balcony.

James was talking to David and George while everyone else was busy talking to Momo. The boys were trying to woo her and the girls were talking about girly stuff.

" James how many times have you and David fought. You both must be practicing regularly" Kozuki said and everyone's attention was on James and David. Some girls were already admiring David from afar.

" Never. He is mostly at the dojo or in his room practicing. And I hardly get time from dojo and school. And even the tournaments make things hectic. I have seen David fight only once 7 years ago." James said.

"But you both go to the same dojo, right?" A kid named Shino said.

"Yea but he has a separate training ground where except his master and two sons no one is allowed. But he does give me new ideas to use my quirk " James said and even Momo looked at David.

'I have heard about David a lot whenever we went to Aunt Sally's house but this is the first time we are meeting. I am never nervous talking to anyone. But he has a mysterious kind of air around him that makes me think he doesn't even see me as an equal or anyone here.' Momo thought as she stood up from her chair.

Momo walked towards David and said "Hi David can you tell me any new ideas to use my quirk?"

She looked like she was mustering courage for a long time.

"What is your quirk and how does it work?" David asked in a casual tone which made Momo relax.

"My quirk is creation. I can create anything that isn't organic through my skin. My body uses lipids to create stuff" Momo said.

"Which means you will have to expose a lot of your skin when wearing your hero costume?"

'Why is he asking about this. It's so embarrassing but it is also the truth. Hero Midnight also does the same. But I don't think there is any solution to that. Should I ask him' Momo was thinking when she realized she had just been staring at David for the past few seconds and hadn't talked anything.

She quickly answered "Yes but there is no solution to it. To create big things I will have to expose my skin. Do you have a solution to that?" There was suddenly a faint hope in her eyes.

" You could try to create a layer of thin armor on your body to cover the part of the skin which is exposed. And then try to retract that thin armor inside your body again to expose some skin when you want to create something. I think until your creation is completely separated from you it should be retractable." David said to which Momo instantly brought her arm in front of her.

After a few seconds, a kind of red scales were seen on her arm, and then she tried to retract it. It took her a couple of minutes but it went back into her body and her skin was normal. Momo had started sweating after just doing it once.

"It is a bit painful and slow but I think with practice I can do it and even make it strong but flexible to work as a skin-tight armor" Momo said with a bright smile. She was going to say something but then someone came onto the balcony.

"Kids let's start the tournament that you guys wanted." Jun said while everyone shouted in excitement.

Everyone followed Momo to the training ground. It was a little smaller than the one he used in the dojo.

"We have some training suits which will shrink to your size" Jun said as everyone started to go change.

"I'll be fine in this outfit" David said. Everyone looked at David with a confused expression but then continued to go to their changing rooms.

In the girls changing room------------------------------

"Damm David is hot, isn't he?"

"Those blue eyes are like shining diamonds and he is the youngest among us all."

"Why do you think he didn't change his clothes?"

"I think he must have weapons hidden under his clothes. First I thought James was hot but compared to his younger brother he is just average. And I've heard that his hair has purple ends because of his purple and blue fire. My friend practices in the same dojo so sometimes he and his friends sneak a peek. They say that even while seeing him fight everyone felt a chill through their spine"

"The reason why he doesn't change his clothes is that he doesn't feel the need to" Momo said.

"What do you mean?"

"He doesn't see us worthy as a worthy opponent." Momo said.

"Let's see how good he is"

After a few minutes, everyone was standing on the training ground. In the stands, the parents were seated, at the side, a doctor with a few nurses were sitting and Jun and Aiko came to the training ground with a jar with folded chits and said

"Now everyone in this jar is the name of every participant. We have 6 boys and 4 girls. And now my wife will take out 1 chit and I will take out one and the names in those chits will be matched up against each other." Jun said

Aiko and Jun started taking out chits in a few seconds after, the matchups had been displayed.

Kozuki vs Katsumi

Momo vs Hana

James vs Kenji

Genki vs Mamoru

David vs Gina

"First Match Kozuki vs Katsumi" Aiko said while both the participants came on stage.

Kozuki rushed towards Katsumi to punch her. Katsumi tried to dodge but suddenly Kozuki stopped and performed a roundabout kick while rotating himself and kicked Katsumi on the waist. Katsumi fell down and rolled a few times. Before she could do anything Kozuki already had a fist close to her face. " I-I surrender" she shouted and Kozuki stopped just cms away from her nose. She didn't even get a chance to use her quirk.

"Katsumi surrenders... Kozuki wins. Next match Momo vs Hana" Aiko said while Katsumi stood up and left with Kozuki supporting her. The next participants were already on the ground.

"Start" Jun shouted.

Momo created a bo staff (long pole) from her arms rotated it her in hands. Hana activated her quirk. And her hands turned into claws as she was pouncing on Momo. Momo blocked the attack with the staff and pushed her back. After a few minutes, Hana started getting tired and Momo took the opportunity to get the drop on her and hit the staff on Hana's stomach after which Hana surrendered.

"Hana surrenders... Momo wins. Next match James vs Kenji" Aiko said and the match started quickly. Kenji couldn't hold himself in front of James's martial arts and his laser quirk and surrendered at the end.

Next match was Genki vs Mamoru which Mamoru won as Genki didn't have any martial arts practice.
