Chapter 45

With the help of One For All's previous owners, Deku was able to get rid of Shinso's mind control and stopped just before the finish line.

After regaining complete control over his body Deku rushed towards Shinso. Shinso tried to provoke him to talk but Deku didn't say anything and pushed Shinso out of the boundary.

"Izuku Midoriya wins" Midnight shouted.

The spectators were excited and cheering for Deku even the students of Class 1-A were happy. Deku came towards his classmates. Uraraka quickly congratulated him.

"Midoriya-Kun that was a great match. I was worried at the start but you managed to defeat him" Uraraka said with a bright smile which made Deku more nervous.

"Thank you Uraraka... This was a very close match" Deku said and his eyes moved towards David who wasn't even looking at him. He walked and stood in front of David

'Why is he doing the same thing again' Everyone was screaming in their mind.

"I know that even though I knew how his quirk works and I still replied him and he got control over me. But I promise you that I will become stronger and be the best hero" Deku said with cloudy eyes and clutching his fingers to which everyone expected David to reply but David just rolled his eyes.

'Damm what did I do to have this idiot bother me every fucking time' David was thinking when Midnight announced the next match.

"Shoto Todoroki vs Hanta sero"

The match between them ended faster than anyone had anticipated. Todoroki encased Sero in ice within a minute. The next matches were between Kaminari and the green-haired Ibrara in which Kaminari couldn't do anything and was simply overwhelmed by her hair.

After that, it was a match between Tenya Iida and Mei Hatsume, and this time as well Mei used Iida as an advertisement model. Iida was fuming because of the stunt Mei had just pulled on him but Mei was completely unaffected and thanked Iida for selling her babies and just went back to her classmates.

"David Carter vs Yuga Aoyama" Midnight said and David and Aoyama stood inside the ring facing each other.

"Heh, this match will be over before we know it" Bakugo said with a smirk. Class 1-A knew that Aoyama would not stand a chance in front of David.

David just stood there with his hands in his pocket while Aoyama didn't know what to do. He didn't want to surrender his first 1v1 combat match in front of thousands of spectators. He was about to activate his quirk but he saw David just casually did the kicking motion with his leg and the next second a strong wind was traveling towards Aoyama with high speed. Aoyama fired a laser at it but it was useless and Aoyama was thrown outside the ring.

The whole stadium was silent for a second and then went into an uproar.

"He didn't even use much power"

"He just knocked his opponent with such a casual gesture. It doesn't even look as if he had to do anything."

"The opponent doesn't even have injuries. He has precise control over his quirk"

After coming back to the seats David's classmates congratulated him and they knew this was going to be an easy match for him.

The next match was between Momo and Tokoyami. Momo did try her best but she couldn't figure out how to defeat dark shadow.

"I am sorry I tried my best to defeat him but dark shadow is strong and unpredictable" Momo said looking at David.

"It's a shadow. No matter how strong it is a flash-bang would have weakened it" David said without even looking at Momo. After hearing this Momo's eyes widened but she just put her head down.

'It was so simple and I couldn't even figure it out. How am I going to solve complex problems when I actually become a hero? David didn't even need to think about it much. I can't let such a mistake happen again' Momo was scolding herself when Present mic announced the next match which was between Kirishima and Tetsutetsu. The match lasted for quite a while but the outcome was a draw. In the end, they had an arm wrestling and Kirishima won at it.

After that, the last match was between Uraraka and Bakugo. The match didn't last long as Bakugo didn't let Uraraka touch him and just defeated her easily. Uraraka was a bit sad after that but Deku managed to cheer her up.

The matchups for the next round were announced by Midnight and everyone sucked in their breaths by just seeing the First matchup

Shoto Todoroki vs Izuku Midoriya.

In the canon, the match between Deku and Todoroki was a lengthy one as at the start Todoroki was just using his ice but this time Todoroki was using both his sides from the start of the match. Deku didn't stand a chance against him and lost miserably.

The next match was between Iida and Ibara where Iida just used his finishing move and pushed Ibara out of the bounds before she had time to even react. After that Bakugo and Kirishima fought. For a minute or two, Kirishima was able to block Bakugo's explosion damage but in the end, he lost.

The last match was between David and Tokoyami. Both of them stood facing each other. Dark shadow came out of Tokoyami and rushed towards David but David created a wall of fire. Seeing the wall dark shadow shrunk a bit. David spread both of his hands and the purple fire started flowing out of it. It encircled Tokoyami and dark shadow. Whenever dark shadow would attempt to attack the fire would flare and push dark shadow back.

David created an entire dome of purple fire with blue at its ends. The fire completely encased Tokoyami and dark shadow. Tokoyami didn't surrender even after getting surrounded by bright fire so David started shrinking the dome to put pressure on Tokoyami.

After a few seconds tokoyami surrendered. When David removed the fire dome he could see dark shadow who was the size of a cat. David found it very funny as dark shadow was shown as strong and a bit arrogant but here it looked like a scardy cat.
