Chapter 34: Bojack's Chains

Bonus chapter

----

Frieza's ship hovered above a barren and isolated world known only as the "Prison Planet," a celestial wasteland reserved for those too dangerous or powerful to be kept in conventional captivity. The planet's surface was bleak, jagged with towering, iron-colored rock formations that stretched toward the storm-laden sky.

Jagged cliffs and deep craters scarred the land, creating a desolate and hostile environment. Across the surface, massive fortified towers loomed, each one housing cells containing some of the most dangerous individuals in the galaxy. The dark sky crackled with lightning, and turbulent clouds swirled ominously above, a fitting reflection of the horrors held within.

The prison was not guarded by physical soldiers but by complex, nigh-indestructible barriers of energy, each designed to suppress the ki of those held within. Even at full power, it would be nearly impossible for any prisoner to escape on their own. This place had been Bojack's tomb for countless centuries, a prison so impregnable that only the intervention of a godlike being could shatter its constraints.

Frieza stood at the ship's open hatch, gazing down at the planet below. His base form, sleek and compact, betrayed nothing of his inner thoughts. His crimson eyes scanned the prison structure, analyzing the weaknesses of the energy barriers. The towering metal gates, enhanced with energy locks, shimmered faintly as Frieza stepped forward. The moment had come to extend his empire by acquiring new, formidable warriors. And who better than Bojack, a legend from a forgotten age, along with his crew of dangerous, battle-hardened criminals?

His boots made contact with the ground, his tail flicking casually behind him as he strolled toward the prison's main entrance. Behind him, several elite soldiers flanked him, though they knew better than to interfere unless commanded. As they neared the central cell, Frieza's senses sharpened, detecting the slumbering yet potent energy hidden within the structure.

Bojack and his crew were sealed away in stasis. Their containment chambers, massive cylindrical capsules, were surrounded by a network of energy tendrils that kept their power locked away. The facility itself was a labyrinthine complex, made of reinforced alloys and powered by generators buried deep beneath the surface. Yet despite its advanced security, it was nothing compared to Frieza's capabilities.

Frieza raised a hand lazily, directing a focused beam of ki toward the central power core, hidden behind layers of protective shielding. His attack pierced through effortlessly, and the entire facility flickered as power began to drain from the containment systems. The energy suppressors cracked, their glow fading. Moments later, the massive doors of the prison groaned open.

Within the chamber, suspended in the air by crackling energy chains, was Bojack, the infamous space pirate. His green skin and imposing figure were unmistakable even in his dormant state. His arms were crossed, his body encased in a semi-transparent stasis field, and around him, his loyal henchmen, Bujin, Zangya, Bido, and Kogu, were trapped in similar states of confinement.

Frieza's cold smile grew wider as he approached the containment unit. "Bojack," he said, his voice cutting through the silence. "It's time to wake up."

The sound of his voice reverberated in the chamber, and slowly, the stasis field around Bojack began to crack. The energy restraints sparked wildly, and after several tense seconds, they shattered completely. Bojack fell to the ground, landing in a crouch as his eyes snapped open, burning with fury and confusion. His muscles tensed, and he quickly scanned his surroundings, his crimson hair flowing as he took in the sight of Frieza standing before him.

Frieza watched, amused, as Bojack's henchmen were freed from their stasis as well. The four of them landed beside their leader, their eyes narrowing in suspicion as they took defensive stances, unsure of who had freed them or why.

Bojack rose to his full height, towering over Frieza by several centimeters. His eyes, cold and ruthless, locked onto Frieza's calm gaze. "You," he growled, his voice deep and menacing. "Who are you, and why have you freed us?"

Frieza folded his arms, entirely unfazed by Bojack's hostility. "I am Lord Frieza, ruler of the galaxy and soon-to-be god. I have liberated you and your crew because I have a proposition. Serve me, and I will give you power and freedom beyond your wildest dreams."

Bojack snorted in disdain, his arrogance evident. "You think you can command me? I've spent centuries in this forsaken prison, and now you expect me to bow to you?" His energy flared, and the ground trembled beneath him as his power surged.

Frieza's eyes gleamed, but his expression remained neutral. "I am offering you a chance, Bojack. But if you truly believe you can stand against me…" Frieza raised a single hand, gathering a small amount of energy at his fingertips. "Then perhaps a demonstration is in order."

Before Bojack could respond, Frieza's energy condensed into a glowing sphere, which he molded into a clone of Bojack himself. The clone was identical in every way, save for one crucial detail: it possessed only a fraction of Bojack's strength, a mere 1/10th of his original power.

The clone stood before Bojack, its eyes cold and expressionless.

"Fight it," Frieza said, his tone almost bored. "If you can defeat this version of yourself, perhaps I'll reconsider my offer."

Bojack snarled, his pride stung. Without hesitation, he lunged at the clone, his fists glowing with ki as he prepared to strike. The two clashed in an explosion of energy, but to Bojack's shock, the clone easily deflected his blows, its movements precise and calculated.

Bojack roared in frustration, increasing his power, but the clone continued to evade and counter his attacks with ease. Within moments, the clone landed a devastating punch to Bojack's midsection, sending him crashing into the ground with enough force to crack the stone beneath him.

Panting, Bojack staggered to his feet, wiping blood from his mouth, his rage barely contained. The clone stood motionless, waiting for him to strike again. Bojack's crew looked on in shock; they had never seen their leader humbled so easily.

Frieza watched silently, his eyes narrowing with cold amusement. Bojack lunged at the clone once more, determined to prove his strength, but his attacks were deflected with even more precision. The clone landed another brutal blow, sending Bojack flying into a nearby rock formation, the impact shaking the ground beneath them.

Panting and bruised, Bojack rose slowly, his pride wounded far more than his body. He glared at Frieza, realizing the gravity of his situation. He had underestimated this emperor, and it had cost him.

"Enough!" Frieza's voice cut through the air, calm yet authoritative. With a wave of his hand, the clone dissipated into pure energy, leaving Bojack standing alone in the dust.

Frieza stepped forward, his gaze locked onto Bojack's. "Do you understand now, Bojack? I am not asking for your loyalty. I am demanding it."

Bojack clenched his fists, his body trembling with a mixture of anger and fear. He was a warrior, a pirate who had ruled galaxies in his time. But now, he realized he was facing a being far beyond anything he had ever encountered.

"I... I understand," Bojack finally muttered, lowering his head in submission. "I will serve you, Frieza."

Frieza smirked, satisfied with the outcome. "Good. Now, you and your crew will have the opportunity to regain your strength and prove your worth to me. Fail, and your existence will be even more insignificant than the dust beneath my feet."

Bojack's crew, still stunned by the display of power, remained silent, but the looks in their eyes mirrored their leader's reluctant acceptance. They had no choice but to submit to Frieza's will.

With a flick of his tail, Frieza turned and began walking back toward his ship. "Come, Bojack," he called over his shoulder. "We have much to discuss, and your power is far from where it needs to be."

As Bojack and his crew followed in silence, the prison planet behind them began to fade into the distance. Their chains had been broken, but their freedom had come at a cost.

For now, they were Frieza's to command.
