Hunters

Because of the darkness in the dense forest, it was a quite hard for Kai to see more than ten to twenty meters away, the forest was mostly silent with the momentary sound of wind whistling, insects and distant roars.

During today's adventure, he just wanted to look around the forest and get a certain level of understanding of it, so that it would become easier for him to move around in the forest later.

" Walking on the ground is just an open invitation for all the beasts around to come and hunt me, since the trees are so close I think I can manage to move among them. "

He mumbled then he climbed over one of the tree's branches , since the strength of his body had increased quite a bit from before, such movements weren't difficult for him.

But his body is nothing like what he was used to and it seemed along with this small and weaker body, his mind has become incredibly slower so he can't react to things as fast as he would want himself to.

Just as he got a proper footing on a branch, he looked back towards the village and after making sure that he would not be visible to anyone Kai turned his face to the front and was about to jump over the other branch but then he saw that just a few inches away from his face was the face of a snake that was about to bite him.

Kai was startled and his instincts kicked in, so without even thinking he grabbed the head of the snake and threw it away, accidentally over the boundary of the village.

' Can't believe I was startled by just a weak snake, such things always remind me of how weak I really am. '

He thought but just then he heard a scream from behind him, it seemed he had accidentally thrown that more than 7 feet long snake over someone.

' Damn, have I developed a habit of throwing the wrong things at the wrong time, haa I just hope that something like before does not happen again? '

Kai thought, but he was not much worried since this scream belonged to one of the old guards present there, and they wouldn't cause as much trouble, he just wondered who the poor man was who had the luck of getting attacked by a flying snake.

Though all those older guards are strong enough to easily deal with such weak beasts, and that scream was released just because the guard was startled .

Without waiting any further, he began to move forward jumping from one branch to another, the forest was quite big but for some reason, Kai didn't find any blazing monkeys and only saw weak beasts around.

After over twenty minutes, Kai couldn't move forward any further since all the trees in front of him had been reduced to ashes by someone, it seemed a battle had taken place here and at least one of the participants was a Blazing monkey.

' From the fights I have seen, I'm sure that those beasts can't damage such a large area like this, so there is a high chance that this was caused by the rumoured 1st Order beast. '

Kai thought, the martial artists and beasts for some reason have the same strength index that is measured by 'Order', it was said since both mainly focus on brute force and the development of their bodies, so because of the similarities the term Order was used for both.

' But if it really was a 1st Order beast then I wonder whom it was fighting, are there other beasts of that strength in this area? '

He pondered, as from the scene in front of him he could see that the fight was between two nearly equal opponents and it most probably had ended in a draw.

' I should avoid the 1st order beasts for now, maybe I should create a skill that could allow my senses to be heightened for some time. '

He thought and decided to take a different route, his small body made it a bit hard to move around in the forest but since all the trees were close enough he was barely managing.

The more deeper into the forest that he got the louder the sounds of roars and fighting became, he could even hear the voices of some humans from somewhere in the forest, so he decided to be even more discreet and slowed down a bit.

While he was moving Kai saw all kinds of plants and herbs, but he couldn't eat or take them mindlessly since they could have negative effects, so he decided to check them later.

While he was moving Kai heard the voices of some humans from some distance away, he wondered what these people would be doing so late at night this deep into the forest.

' Even though this is just the outer perimeter of the forest, but there are still quite a bit of beasts in this area, maybe they are here to secretly hunt the Blazing monkeys so that they don't have to give any of their gains to anyone else. '

He thought, as even though Kai did not have much knowledge about this world but he was sure that there are always people like that who would try to take others things while giving it different names such as tax.

He silently jumped from one tree to another, right now he was just on the outer perimeter of the middle part of the forest, after moving for a few more minutes Kai finally saw a group of men and women, they seemed to be hunters and had just fought a battle against blazing monkeys.
