The adventure begins

While the whole village was busy with the works of their own, during this time, aside from refining his body Kai had experimented several times over his body, and most of them didn't end well leaving him injured, but he wasn't one to give up so easily.

Even though he could now control the 'Essence' but it still seemed impossible for him to fully utilize it to create anything new or use techniques from his past life, so he solely focused on obtaining a state that could momentarily increase his physical capabilities.

After countless attempts over many months, Kai finally succeeded in slightly upgrading his Pseudo Martial Body and reaching a new state that he casually named as " The Gauze mode ".

In succession he could only use it two times and each time he activated The Gauze Mode could only last for at max six to seven minutes, depending on the task he performs after using it.

To achieve this form he had to try all kinds of things and patterns with the new energy of this world and several times he even received internal injuries, only after practising it for many times was he able to control it to a certain extent.

But he was only able to achieve this form when he was randomly moving the 'Essence' inside his body at different speeds, when he found the right one he didn't change it any further and decided to use it as it is for now.

Whenever he used The Gauze mode his body would instantly become very light allowing him to move faster and he could also increase his strength but only in a single limb at a time.

The application for The Gauze mode wasn't hard, he just needed to pull over less than half the energy from his meridians and move it inside his limbs at an incredible pace, but only to the point that he could control it, at first he wasn't sure about this idea of his but miraculously it worked.

Over eighteen months had passed and Kai was already six and a half years old, although he was more than satisfied with his progress but he was still not happy.

As more time passed, the poison inside Emily's body was getting more effective making it more and more difficult for the energy inside her body to fight back so as a result of this, the time Emily spent sleeping had increased quite a bit from before and with each passing month her condition seemed to worsened.

Kai was powerless to help her and so was Ron, he was doing everything in his power to cure her but the poison inside her body was quite special.

No matter what he tried everything resulted in a failure, because of which Ron and Kai barely smiled, they would laugh only when around Emily but both were deeply saddened by her condition and were afraid of the worst thing happening to her.

In the span of over one and a half years, Kai's body had progressed at an incredible pace now he was sure that he could easily be able to defeat an ordinary healthy adult in a one on one fight and along with The Gauze mode, he was sure that he could even fight the guards in the Arom village on equal terms for around a dozen or so minutes.

So he finally decided to go into the forest and try to learn more things about this world, and also to try and find a cure for Emily.

It was summer currently, Ron was sleeping in his room and Emily was also asleep, while Kai stood outside the house wearing his loose clothes, since it was midnight everything was covered in darkness.

" Although it is many times more dangerous to go into a forest at night but this is the only choice I have, there is no way I would be able to go there in the bright daylight.

And also at this time, I won't be encountering any of the mercenaries. " Kai mumbled to himself, he just have two sharp knives on him right now which he had somehow managed to get his hands on not too long ago, one of them belonged to a guard while the other one was from a mercenary.

" Hoo, it would be my first time in this world that I am gonna do something this dangerous, let's hope that everything ends well. "

Kai then looked around carefully after making sure that no one was around he climbed onto the roof of his house, there were still five guards patrolling between the houses and the boundary of the forest, but Kai was not worried about them at all.

After climbing on the roof he slowly approached the back side, as he had expected the five guards were still walking around and chatting among themselves.

He decided to use the old way of distracting someone and picked up a small stone and threw it on the stone boundary to his left more than twenty meters away.

One of the guard was speaking: " Yeah, I went to that temple and you won't believe- "

*THUD*

While the guards were chatting among themselves they suddenly heard a loud thudding sound that interrupted their conversation, all five of them vigilantly looked over that area and three of them walked there to check it, while the remaining guards stared at their friends while tightly holding their weapons. 

Using this chance Kai slowly climbed off the house without making any sound at all, then he simply walked from behind them and directly climbed the wall easily and jumped onto the other side, as he entered this forest for the first time.
