Reinhard sat on his throne, a cruel smile playing on his lips as he received the news of Feldway's sealing. "Interesting," he mused aloud, his voice a deep, resonant echo in the grand hall of Gladsheimr. "They truly did prepare for the likes of Feldway. Perhaps they have something in store for Zelanus as well. This is getting quite entertaining."
With a wave of his hand, he dismissed the messenger, leaning back in his chair, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Let's see how they handle the Insectar King," he said, his anticipation evident. "I can't wait to see how this will unfold."
---
On the battlefield, the air was thick with tension as the demon lords faced Zelanus, the Insectar King. The sight of the massive, insectoid figure sent chills down their spines, but they stood firm, determined to buy enough time for Rimuru to activate the sealing magic.
Zelanus moved with a speed that belied his size, his attacks disintegrating everything they touched. Guy Crimson, always the first to charge, met Zelanus head-on, his fists colliding with the insectar's limbs. Sparks flew from the impact, and the ground trembled beneath their feet.
"Damn, he's fast!" Guy grunted, narrowly avoiding a blow that would have vaporized him. He countered with a powerful punch, but Zelanus merely shrugged it off, his chitinous armor absorbing the impact.
Dagruel joined the fray, his massive fists swinging with earth-shattering force. He roared, each strike creating shockwaves that tore through the battlefield. Zelanus responded with a flurry of strikes, each one more precise and deadly than the last. The two giants clashed, their blows echoing like thunder.
Milim, eyes burning with determination, darted in and out of the melee, her attacks aimed at finding a weakness in Zelanus's defense. "Come on, you overgrown bug!" she shouted, her voice filled with frustration and anger. She unleashed a devastating energy blast, but Zelanus deflected it with a casual flick of his limb.
Zelanus's laughter was a cold, chittering sound that grated on their nerves. "Is this all the demon lords can muster?" he taunted, his eyes glowing with malevolent glee. "Pathetic."
Ramiris, hovering above the fray, began to chant, her magic weaving through the air. She knew she had to focus on the spell, but watching her friends struggle was almost too much to bear. "Just a little longer," she whispered, her voice strained. "We need more time."
Dino, the lazy demon lord, showed uncharacteristic resolve, his usually carefree demeanor replaced by a grim determination. He moved with surprising agility, his sword flashing as he attempted to find a gap in Zelanus's defenses. "We've got to keep him occupied!" he yelled, blocking a swipe from Zelanus that sent him skidding back.
Zelanus's counterattacks were relentless. His limbs moved in a blur, each strike aiming to end the battle swiftly. He sent Guy flying with a powerful kick, then turned his attention to Dagruel, who barely managed to block the next onslaught. The Insectar King's disintegrating aura made every hit lethal, and the demon lords struggled to avoid direct contact.
Rimuru watched the battle from a distance, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation. "Ciel, how's the progress?" he asked mentally, his mind focused on the intricate details of the sealing magic.
<<The spell is nearly ready, Master Rimuru,>> Ciel responded, her voice calm and steady. <<We need to hold out just a little longer.>>
Dagruel's powerful fist collided with Zelanus's carapace, but the Insectar King seemed unfazed. "Is that all you've got?" Zelanus sneered, his eyes gleaming with malice. He retaliated with a swipe that sent Dagruel crashing to the ground, the earth splintering beneath him.
Milim screamed in rage, her energy flaring as she charged at Zelanus, her fists glowing with a brilliant light. "You won't get away with this!" she shouted, landing a series of rapid blows. Zelanus stumbled back, more out of surprise than actual damage, and retaliated with a devastating blast that knocked Milim out of the air.
Guy and Dagruel regrouped, their eyes meeting in a silent agreement. They had to keep fighting, no matter the cost. Guy launched himself at Zelanus, his attacks a blur of speed and power. Dagruel followed, his massive form a relentless force of nature.
Zelanus laughed, a chilling sound that echoed across the battlefield. "Fools," he hissed, his limbs a flurry of lethal motion. "You can't hope to defeat me."
Despite their efforts, the demon lords were pushed to their limits. Zelanus's power was overwhelming, his attacks leaving them battered and bruised. But they fought on, their determination unwavering.
Rimuru's eyes glowed with determination as he channeled his energy into the sealing spell. The magic circle beneath him pulsed with power, the runes glowing brighter with each passing moment. "Almost there," he muttered, his voice filled with resolve.
As the battle reached its peak, Zelanus unleashed a powerful blast, sending the demon lords sprawling. He stood tall, his eyes blazing with triumph. "It's over," he declared, his voice dripping with contempt.
But before he could deliver the final blow, the ground beneath him erupted in a blinding light. The magic circle activated, its power surging upwards and enveloping Zelanus. He roared in anger and frustration, but it was too late.
Rimuru, standing at the edge of the circle, watched as the sealing magic took hold. "Now!" he shouted, his voice carrying over the chaos. The runes flared with a brilliant light, and Zelanus's form began to waver and distort.
With a final, defiant scream, Zelanus was pulled into the vortex, his body disintegrating as he was sealed away. The battlefield fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the exhausted demon lords.
Guy wiped the sweat from his brow, his eyes meeting Rimuru's. "We did it," he said, his voice filled with relief.
Rimuru nodded, his eyes still glowing with determination. "Yes," he replied. "But this is just the beginning. We still have a long way to go."
The demon lords regrouped, their eyes filled with a renewed sense of purpose. They had faced one of their greatest enemies and emerged victorious, but they knew that the battle was far from over. With Reinhard still at large, they had to remain vigilant and prepared for whatever came next.
