The Maha Tower or The Broken Tower of Omega—some call it. It is a place of Dream, a place of myth, and a place of Chaos. Only a thousand among many get the chance to climb it each year. Wrik spent years to find this tower, ignoring his studies, University, but to no avail. Until a day when a letter came to his door with a pair of tickets to the tower. But before that, he had to appear in gruesome trials to enter the cruel Tower. ________________ Check out the other works: Chaos Cycle: The Eye of Genesis. ________________ [The novel is a bit slow compared to other webnovel. It picks up the pace from the 10th chapter or so.]
IN ONE DARK CORNER of the crater, Byul was seated cross-legged in meditation, Kevin was there as well, similarly trying his best in the art of Mahasayer.
Byul didn't try it before as the pain in her head might cause some damage while Mahasaying. But now the pain was a bit more numb than before. Maybe the painkiller and the healing talisman did their work.
She rested all her anxiety, all fear and dark thoughts, and imagined the wind. Her dearest element, the element she has the most affinity with. A field with gigantic trees appeared in her mind with the leaves, branches swaying in the wind. She was free in that place; she didn't have to worry about anything. Not about tomorrow, not about the damn Infector. Here only she and Wind belong, no one separates her from the wind.
Invisible ethereal waves surged from all the surroundings around her body. She could now feel the pain more clearly. She concentrated on Mahasaying rather than fretting over the injury. Concentrating on the pain would only make it worse. She tried to circulate the ethereal aura throughout the body. Even though it's minimal, Maha Mana still has some properties of natural healing. An injury that needed a week to heal might solve within a few hours to a day through Maha Mana.
And it did heal her organs: internal or external. Her limbs felt less fatigued, and now her stomach felt empty. The last time she had anything to eat was half a day ago. But she continued with meditation. She should have had another time to fill her protesting stomach. Now she needed to be in better shape. She couldn't leave everything to Kevin, he already did enough even though he was in a similar state like her, he's more fatigued than her.
She raised the flow as she found no problem in mahasaying, but she didn't forget any arteries or vessels either. Mahasaying was about circulating the Maha Mana through the Macro and micro parts of the body. The thorough it was, the better.
She remained like that for a couple of hours before opening her eyes. And a couple of massages greeted her.
[Magic force increased by 1.]
[Perception increased by 1.]
Byul shook her head. It seemed the more desperate you were, the more quickly the stats grew. This was not the first time she was noticing this, even before it was like that. Most of the time, her attributes increased when she was tussling with infectors. Well, an increase was always a good thing.
She looked at her left to notice that Kevin was still meditating. She didn't call him up, but opened her main Omega status window to check.

Her attributes had more than doubled from the very first day. But it didn't make her any bit happier now. She needed everything she could use to get out of this hellhole.
She couldn't help but sigh, glancing at her innate ability. If it was a little useful in this situation. She didn't ponder on it more. Her Inviter had said it would be quite useful when she knew better. But she couldn't even come up with a decent usage of it in the current situations.
And last, her eyes read the note on her state. She shook her head as her stomach growled. Byul recalled she was starving. She immediately opened her pack and pushed bread into her mouth. She didn't forget to chew, either. After finishing the bread, she savoured some water in her dry mouth. And then she noticed the figure sitting next to her shakeup.
Kevin opened his eyes, his face was covered with sweat. It's as if he had a battle with Maha Mana.
"Water?" She lifted the water flask towards him.
Kevin hesitated for a bit before nodding. He took a few mouthfuls from it.
"Still troubling?" Byul asked. Kevin had some problems with mediation from the beginning of the trial and it has not solved yet. Apparently, the big guy was not that good with Mahasaying like he was with a spear. He could use Mana discharge occasionally, but it still shakes on most occasions.
"Yes," he nodded, tossing back the flask. "It's still hard for me. Maybe it's because of my low number in Magic power."
Byul nodded and didn't know how to cheer up this big fellow. His physical stats, especially strength and constitution, touched twenty, but Mahasaying was fundamental to all mahasayer. He hadn't had many problems in the first phase, but the issue only worsened as time passed.
"Don't worry about it, I'll figure something out." He looked around the gloom and continued. "Besides, we have more things to worry about."
He was right. They had to find a way out of this hellhole. There are no Infectors in this part now, but who knew about those dead men when they appeared. They could only be prepared for everything.
"Should we start moving from here?"
"Staying in one play might be dangerous," Kevin nodded. "Moreover, we don't have many rations remaining."
The both of them stood up as they exchanged glances. Kevin took the lead as Byul followed him a foot away. Her condition was much better, and could walk straight now.
