Tell the truth

Leader Chang poured himself a cup of his herbal tea when the door to his dojo opened slightly, Li Jie stepped in, Leader Chang averted his eyes at him.

"Where have you been?" Leader Chang asked.

"Weng Lie is planning on waging a war against Bixia, he knows they're no match for him and they'd give up easily." his tone was neutral but the aura emanating from him was dangerous.

"A war?!" leader Chang slowly got to his feet holding unto his staff for support.

"Yes, he knows I'm alive and is coming to get me or probably to kill me."

"What do you plan on doing?"

"I can't stand by and watch him hurt the innocent people of Bixia, I won't hide any longer."

"What are you saying?, you aren't healed yet and you have no idea how your powers work."

"I'll manage, he wants to use my wife to lure me out, I must see to it he doesn't hurt her."

"What about Chyou fen and Zhang Wei?"

"Take them to Jiangnan, at least they'll be safe in Chyou fen's home."

Leader Chang didn't want to go further, Li Jie was already enraged and enraging him further would be harmful.

Li Jie was about to step out when a sudden flow of energy rushed through his system, he paused at the door step, after that came a sudden sting it sent Li Jie falling to his knees, the pain was so treacherous, it made Li Jie cough out blood.

Leader Chang gazed wide eyed at Li Jie, what on Earth was happening to him, he rushed towards Li Jie.

"You're bleeding, what's happening to you."

Li Jie's mouth was sealed, he couldn't speak, he slowly averted his eyes at the window, it was midnight which means his healing process has just began, the horrible sting came again, it's pain could easily lead to someone's death but Li Jie didn't complain, it only gave him more reason's why he has to get his revenge, Li Jie knew this was only the beginning and the pain would last for who knows when?, his eyelids were getting heavy, really heavy, it was hard to keep his eyes opened and before he knew it, he was unconscious.

Leader Chang sighed, his healing process definitely found the right time to intervene, he has to find a safe place to keep Li Jie, Li Jie can't stay in the house any longer and there was only one place he could keep Li Jie for the meantime.

The trip to Bixia took a whole day, they stopped by at a lake to rest for the night, Mei jingjing stayed close to Daiyu.

Apparently Daiyu was the only person she could lean unto at the moment.

"I don't feel like resting at all." Mei jingjing said in a low tone.

"Why not?"

"What if master Li Jie turns out to be in Bixia, I'm happy about that but I can't ignore the reason's behind Weng Lie's journey, if he finds master Li Jie, he'll surely kill him."

Mei jingjing doesn't want to loose Li Jie for the second time, a year without him has been so unbearable and she can't risk facing that again.

Daiyu noticed how solemn she looked and sighed.

"How about escaping?" she whispered, Mei jingjing gazed wide eyed at her, escaping now?!.

"Everyone is awake right now, how do I do that?"

Daiyu smirked and raised a brow at Mei jingjing. "Are they?" she made a gesture with her brows and Mei jingjing turned around only to find everyone sleeping soundly, Mei jingjing's eyes goggled, how could all of them have slept the same time? that is very unlike them, she furrowed her brows at Daiyu.

"What did you do to them?"

"Added a little sleeping pill to their drinks, nothing to worry about, if you get going, you might cover a lot of distance before they wake up."

Mei jingjing smiled, what a perfect timing to get out of here, but she paused and averted her eyes at Daiyu.

"Wait, why drug them in the first place, it's impossible to say you did that for me, what were your actual reason's for drugging them?"

Daiyu smirked. "You're getting quite smart this days."

Mei jingjing rolled her eyes at her words. "Just tell me."

"I did it cause I actually planned on escaping as well."

Mei jingjing wasn't completely shocked, who wouldn't want to run away from the devil over there.

"I guess you were sick of him already."

Daiyu shook her head. "No, that's not it."

Mei jingjing scratched her head looking puzzled. "Then what?"

Daiyu didn't speak for a while and finally took a deep breath.

"I was going to find master Li Jie." she finally said it leaving Mei jingjing even more confused.

"Why?"

She took a deep breath, guess it's time to tell the truth "Cause I know where he is." she said it leaving Mei jingjing awestruck, her words rang in her ear like a canon bolt.

"Y.. you Know where he is?"

Daiyu nodded. "I've known all along cause I was the one who got him out of the water and dropped him safely at Bixia."

Mei jingjing couldn't believe her words, so Daiyu knew all along master Li Jie was alive?!

"You knew all this time?"

Daiyu got to her feet and walked ahead. "No, when I found him, he wasn't breathing any longer, but I couldn't bring myself to believe the truth so I dropped him in Bixia."

"If he wasn't breathing, how are you so sure he's alive?"

"Your birthmark." she said, Mei jingjing slowly felt her birthmark.

"What about it?"

"Your birthmark changed the other day, it's a sign master Li Jie survived the blast which was why it took the shape of a lightning."

Mei jingjing couldn't believe she was hearing about this now, tears slowly dropped from her eyes, but she had to stay strong.

"Why are you telling me about this now?"

"Cause even though I hate it, you're the only one master Li Jie needs by his side right now."

Daiyu brought out her silver fiery blade and handed it to Mei jingjing.

"Here, you'll need this for protection."

"Why?, are you starting to care about me?"

"No." she quickly retaliated but Mei jingjing already knew she was lieing in a way.

"I'm doing this cause master Li Jie cares about you, his happiness is my happiness." she sounded so genuine it gave Mei jingjing a heart ache.

"Do you really love master Li Jie that much?"

Daiyu paused for a while before speaking. "I love him with my whole life but the truth is he can never be mine cause his heart already belongs to you."

She tried to stop her tears from rolling down her cheeks by blinking it back.

"Here, take this before I change my mind."

Mei jingjing wiped her tears with a smile and slowly took the sword.

"But bear in mind, if he gets hurt again because of you, I'll kill you." Daiyu said it with no hesitation at all but Mei jingjing didn't dwell on it.

"If that really happens, I must be dead already."

They both smiled.

Li Jie's eyes slowly flutter open and once again, he found himself in the strange abyss, not again, even when he's unconscious, he still has to feel the terrible pain, his eyelids where heavy, little steams oozed out from his wounded stomach and the pain was so torturous, Li Jie's lips were sealed and he had to bear the unbearable pain for who knows how long, it was so painful it sent a tears rolling from his eyes letting the dark consume him, so much for a healing process.
