A sacrifice to make

Weng Lie woke up feeling light headed, such a rough night it was, his head felt really heavy and he wondered why, his guards were starting to wake up as well, everyone felt nauseous.

"What happened?" Weng Lie asked but his eyes grew wider when there wasn't any sight of Mei jingjing.

"Where's Mei jingjing?!" he raged getting up to his two feet, he glanced around with his eyes and found Daiyu unconscious on the ground.

"Daiyu?" he hurried to her, crouching beside her as he shook her trying to wake her up but she wasn't responding.

"What could have happened last night and where's Mei jingjing?!"

The soldiers were shakened fearing for their lives one of them had to speak up.

"We all fell asleep after having that drink Mei jingjing served us."

Weng Lie's gaze darkened, that means she drugged them and escaped.

They could feel the anger rising up inside of him, if she escaped, it could only mean one thing, Li Jie must be alive and she's gone to meet him.

Mei jingjing rode really fast on Ilya, it's surprising Weng Lie still kept Li Jie's favorite horse alive, but it was useful to her, she could view the land of Bixia from where she was, if she gets there, she has to find a place to eat cause she is starving right now.

Li Jie's eyes slowly fluttered open, he goes through so much torture but still finds himself alive, his eyelids felt heavy as he noticed his environment, it was dark and gloomy, where the heck is he?

"He's awake?"

Li Jie followed the voice, he didn't notice Chyou fen has been by his side along with leader Chang.

She smiled at him. "Are you alright guardian angel?" she asked.

Li Jie couldn't speak, he couldn't even move a muscle, his energy has been drained and his breathing was tight.

"Don't stress yourself." leader Chang stated. "Your healing process is taking the better of you."

"W... where am I?" he asked in a low voice almost a whisper making him groan in pain.

"This is the basement, it's the safest place to keep you for now."

Chyou fen gazed at leader Chang. "Isn't there a way to treat him so he can feel better on time?"

"I'm a teacher, not a doctor."

"But there must be something you can do right?"

"I'll apply a few medicinal herbs, it might be of great help"

Li Jie let out a breath, this is not going to end well at all.

At Bixia, Weng Lie moved along the street, everyone hid away at the sight of him, his eyes held nothing but anger and taste to kill, Daiyu rode behind, thank goodness she drank some of those liqour or else, she wouldn't have escaped Weng Lie's wrath, she just hopes Mei jingjing is alright.

Li Jie was sound asleep again, he was lost in the abyss as usual, but this time, his whole body glowed like the blazing sun, the frightening steam had stopped and he couldn't understand why?

"What's happening?"

His eyes jolted open and that moment, he felt no pains at all, he was able to move his body as usual, he's healed already?, he sat upright unable to believe it tearing off the bandage, he was healed completely, no injury sign, no nothing.

Chyou fen and leader Chang showed up.

"I see you've been completely healed." leader Chang said making Li Jie glance his way, Chyou fen ran up to him.

"Guardian angel feels better now." she smiled, Li Jie smiled back but said nothing, no more torturous pain from now on.

Zhang Wei carried a bucket of water and was heading into the huge hall looking disgruntled.

"It's Chyou fen's turn to fetch the water but I get to do everything for her, she's so lazy at doing chores but never lazy when it comes to practicing."

"Need a little help."

Zhang Wei paused at the sound of the unfamiliar voice, he turned around and met Weng Lie's fiery gaze, he froze up at the sight of the demon before him.

Weng Lie chuckled coldly. "Did I scare you?"

Although frightened, Zhang Wei stood his ground.

"W... who are you?"

Weng Lie walked in standing in front of the little Zhang Wei.

"I'm emperor Weng Lie, ruler of Lijiang kingdom, now tell me, where is Li Jie?!"

Zhang Wei's eyes widened, did he mean master Li Jie?, Weng Lie smirked.

"You're not replying, which means he's here isn't it?"

Zhang Wei masked up his fear with a look of courage.

"I have no idea who you're talking about?"

"You don't?"

"Y... yes."

Weng Lie tsked. "You're such a bad liar."

His hands found his way through Zhang Wei's neck as he picked him up holding unto his neck, his scream caught the attention of everyone at the basement.

"What was that?" Li Jie asked.

"It sounded like Zhang Wei." Chyou fen said almost in a panick, leader Chang frowned.

"Weng Lie is here."

Li Jie's golden eyes darkened. "Weng Lie!"

"I Know you're in here little brother, come out come out wherever you are or else, I'll end the life of such an innocent boy and it's all going to be your fault." Weng Lie said knowing fully well Li Jie could hear him.

Li Jie's fist tightened, he got better at the right time, he got to his feet wanting to head up but leader Chang stopped him.

"Don't go."

"If I don't, he'll kill Zhang Wei!"

"If you end up going, he's still going to kill Zhang Wei, he's tasty for blood and his anger right now is not one to deal with."

He glanced down at Chyou fen who was at the verge of tears. "Is Zhang Wei going to die?"

leader Chang smiled at her. "Zhang Wei is brave, don't worry."

Weng Lie was starting to get impatient. "I'm going to count to five, if you don't show up, this little boy will surely loose his life."

He smirked. "One."

Li Jie's eyes were slowly starting to turn white, he wanted to head up but leader Chang stopped him halfway.

"Stay here and look out for Chyou fen, I'll go get Zhang Wei."

"But...."

He placed a finger to Li Jie's forehead as well as Chyou fen's, they didn't understand what he did that for untill they found themselves not being able to move, what tha....?!, they gazed at him with a shocking quizzical expression.

"I have no choice, you two are too stubborn and I know you'd do the opposite of what I tell you to, so I planted a spell on you two, you'll remain frozen for thirty minutes, by then, Weng Lie should have left already."

Li Jie tried to break the spell but couldn't, it was surprisingly strong, what kind of spell is this?!

leader Chang headed upstairs with a sword in hand, Weng Lie was already starting to choke the life out of Zhang Wei.

"I see you won't come out, how About I just..."

"You impudent wrench!" leader Chang showed up, weng Lie turned around and met leader Chang's gaze, he smirked, it's actually been a while.

"Leader Chang, my greatest surprise."

leader Chang gazed at Zhang Wei whose eye's already stung with tears as he was getting himself chocked by such a devil.

"Let him go, he's just a child." leader Chang stated.

"Why would I do that?, if you want your little disciple then hand Li Jie over!."

"How would I know where he is, you killed him afterall."

Weng Lie sighed. "If you're gonna lie at least learn to do it right, if you really have no idea where he is, why bring a sword with you?"

Leader Chang paused realizing he's just been caught, Weng Lie smirked, Zhang Wei forced himself to speak.

"We told you, we have no idea where he is!"

Weng Lie glared at the boy. "You still have the mouth to speak?"

His grip tightened on the Zhang Wei's fragile neck making it difficult for him to breathe.

"Stop hurting him!" leader Chang charged at Weng Lie but huge demons came out of nowhere holding him in place, leader Chang wasn't expecting him to send his demons over, so he didn't come alone, Weng Lie chuckled coldly.

"You silly old man, of course I'd have backups." his face grew stern.

"Now, where is Li Jie, tell me right now!"

"Even if I knew where he was, I wouldn't tell you."

Weng Lie smirked. "Soothe yourself." his grip on Zhang Wei tightened and the next minute, Zhang Wei wasn't breathing any longer.

leader Chang's eyes widened. "You killed him!"

Weng Lie threw Zhang Wei to the floor, he just killed a little boy!, leader Chang wanted to go to him but the demon's held him back, he glared at Weng Lie.

"You killed him, don't you have a concscience?!"

Weng Lie raised a claw at him. "Don't worry about him, you'll definitely keep him company."

He clawed his hands right at Leader Chang's chest aiming at his heart.

Li Jie and Chyou fen could hear everything, tears flowed from Chyou fen's eyes but Li Jie still tried to break the stupid spell, his anger was unleashing the strange powers he had and it was starting to break the spell.

Weng Lie clawed a finger deeper into his heart, the pain was like a needle stabbing every bit is your soul, blood oozed out from it.

"Your loss." he laughed and pushed leader Chang away.

leader Chang knew he was going to get killed in the end, it's a sacrifice he had to make to protect Li Jie and Chyou fen for he knows, Li Jie would come out victorious in the end, he chuckled and finally closed his eyes leaving him in a forever deep sleep.

Daiyu walked in but froze up at the sight of two dead people, her hands flew to her mouth, leader Chang is dead?!.
