Omaticaya Clan.

The former Na'vi woman burst through the bushes with an arrow backwards and releasing it with a quick 'fwip', shot and killed the wolf cub that tried to bite Jake's face off, once the animal was inert, Jake was able to push it off him, but stopped abruptly at the long arrow in its face, which was stuck in its stomach perpendicularly.

When he looked up, and when he looked up, he saw the Na'Vi woman charging the pack of wild dogs with untold ferocity and skill.

"Woah-" Jake recoiled from the initial shock, but stopped to watch, completely mesmerized.

"Ahh!" Swinging her bow in a circular motion above her head, the Na'Vi woman used the momentum to strike one of the pups, with another leaping at her, knocking her back from the force. After several swings of her bow, the wolf dogs panicked and retreated.

Once they disappeared into the night, the Na'vi woman turned her gaze to the glow of the torch, and immediately, shielding her eyes from the glare of the blazing flames, picked it up and threw it into a pond.

"Hey, wait, no-!" exclaimed Jake, the prominent hiss of the fire going out filled his ears, his surroundings were plunged into sinister darkness, or so he thought, without the light of the torches, the forest transformed and came alive in bioluminescence, patterns and galaxies of blue and green light glowed beneath his feet, on tree trunks and mushrooms sprouting from the earth.

Before Jake could continue to admire the sight, a whimper from a wolf cub alerted him, watching as the Na'vi woman scanned the forest for the creature, and when she finally found it, she approached the animal, seeing how an arrow had pierced its torso and was twisting its legs in pain, stepping lightly in the grass to circle the animal, the Na'vi woman dropped to her knees to quickly plunge a knife into its neck, killing it.

As she murmured kind words of apology and comfort to his body, Jake moved away to retrieve his spear, it lay at the bottom of a shimmering pool, as impressive as the water looked, it was nothing compared to its surroundings, when he stood up again, his eyes practically dilated in awe.

Leaves of all shapes and sizes glowed green, blue and bright purple. Hanging flowers in the shape of jellyfish floated higher above the ground, tilting his head back to watch them sway in a gentle breeze, he was overwhelmed by the wonderful flora thriving in every corner of his eye.

Nature flourished in an abundance he could never have imagined in his wildest dreams. And it was as humbling as it was beautiful, when he finally managed to look away from it all, he saw the Na'vi woman on the ground, whispering in Na'vi over a dead wolf cub.

"Look, I know you probably don't understand this," Jake murmured, bending down to look at her with unwavering respect. "But thank you."

The Na'vi woman didn't respond, however, as she cradled the animal in her soft voice, causing Jake to look at her silently for a few moments before repeating himself.

"Thank you."

"That was pretty impressive," Jake mused aloud, finally getting some sort of acknowledgement from her in the form of a wary glance. "I would have been fucked if you hadn't come, it was..." Oddly enough, Jake didn't get to finish, as he saw the Na'vi woman stand up and walk away. This made Jake shut down a bit as he noticed her absence, standing up to follow her like a lost puppy.

"Hey, wait a second. Where are you going?" said Jake with a frown, picking up his pace to run after the Na'vi woman eagerly.

Still, the Na'vi woman kept going, occasionally ducking under leaves to get through the forest and back home. "Wait! Hey, slow down, will you?"

Seeing no response from the Na'vi woman, Jake grabbed her hand, sending a sharp pang of irritation through the Na'vi's body.

"Hey wait! I just wanted to thank you for killing those things..." said Jake, only to be met with a bow right in the face in response. "Agh!" Jake fell to the ground with a loud thud. "Damn!" He grimaced, as he didn't get a chance to sulk as the Na'vi woman hovered over him and threw the bow angrily at Jake.

"No, thanks, no, thanks for this," the Na'vi woman hissed and wagged her tail in irritation, then looked around for a brief pause, and shaking her head furiously said; "This is sad, very sad only."

"Right. I'm sorry," Jake said as he slid back. "Whatever I did, I'm sorry."

"This is all your fault." the Na'vi woman continued, pacing restlessly and holding out a hand to point at the gruesome scene before her. "They didn't need to die."

"My fault?" said Jake as the corners of his lips turned up in disbelief. "I was attacked. How am I the bad guy...?".

"Your fault!" Replied the Na'vi woman, throwing her bow at him angrily.

"Yeah, oh," Jake just frowned, backing away quickly with his hands up. "Shh, ok, ok." He whispered softly.

"Your fault, you're like a baby, making noise."

"Fine, fine. If you love your little forest friends so much, why not let them kill me?" Jake replied with a hint of irritation.

To which the Na'Vi woman lowered her head in thought.

"Why save you?"

"Yes, yes. Why save me?" Jake continued.

The Na'Vi woman opened her mouth to say something, but the words were caught in her throat, just looking at him in awe and then with admiration she decided to speak her mind.

"You have a strong heart. Fearless." to which Jake just watched her silently as he was praised. "But stupid." The Na'Vi woman spat. "Ignorant as a child."

"Well, if I'm like a child, then, uh, look, maybe you should teach me!" said Jake, chasing after her with an awkward trot, struggling at the same time to clear Pandora's thick undergrowth.

"Sky people can't learn. You don't see." was all he got for an answer.

"Well, then, teach me how to look."

"No one can teach you how to see."

"Woah," Jake kept trying to convince her. "Look, come on, can't we talk? Like, where did you learn to speak English, Dr. Agustine's school?" he finished saying, only to slip and almost fall out of the tree "A little help!" He shouted, to see the Na'Vi woman grabbing his arm and yanking him towards the trunk with a grunt.

"You're such a baby." He hissed, pulling his arm away, his eyes widening at that.

"Look, I need your help." Jake murmured softly again.

To which the Na'Vi woman raised her fist and glared at him angrily, "You shouldn't be here."

"Alright, take me with you." Jake uttered in mild defiance.

"No. Go back." the woman replied, to turn around to continue walking.

"No." Jake walked again.

"No! Go back." Before he could reply again, a cloud of forest spirits stole his attention, descending from above in gentle pulses, Jake looked up as they floated towards him, and when one of them came close enough, he instinctively hit it with a light 'clap'.

With this action, the Na'Vi woman let out a scream of horror and grabbed his hand.

"Stop..." With his right hand occupied by the Na'Vi woman's, Jake used his left to slap another. "No! Atokerina!" Once he released Jake's hands, Jake raised both arms as more and more forest spirits hovered around him, watching in pure amazement as they landed on every inch of his torso, covering his body in an angelic white glow.

"What... what are they?" he asked, holding one in her hand after it landed delicately in her palm.

"Seeds of the sacred tree," the Na'Vi woman replied, mesmerized by the sight of so many of them in one place. "Very pure spirits."

"UH Huh." Jake uttered stiffly with some hovering above his head, even, at this point, he could pass as a walking lamp with how brightly he was glowing.

A few seconds later, each little spirit floated out of him simultaneously, it was a beautiful phenomenon to behold, it was with this occurrence, that the Na'Vi woman did the unthinkable.

"Come," she reached out to Jake and pulled him along the trunk. "Come." and then led him towards the Omaticaya clan.
