"BOOM!"

"What the hell is going on!" shouted one of the running Alphas as he carried Aleyx along with other Na'Vi.

"The Angtsik are very upset, they're trying to get into the base!" said Manatiel, one of the Alphas who had arrived when Aleyx collapsed.

"They're all like this, at this rate, many will get hurt, plus I don't think this structure will last long!" commented Ferlu, watching as the foundations shook and dust fell from the roof.

"No matter, our mission is to get the Olo'eyktan to Grace."

"Yes, but if she can't help him, we'll have to leave this place, otherwise we'll all die in here" commented Manatiel, his voice oppressive about the whole thing.

"Anyway, just hurry up".

---------

-----

"No! Stop!"

"Watch out!"

Various shouts and exclamations could be heard outside the base, where the hundreds of Na'Vi tried unsuccessfully to calm the mounts, which, since Aleyx started complaining of that pain, started acting strangely, not letting themselves be commanded, running all over the place. And, in the extreme case. Ending up with the Angtsik and the Ikran starting to attack the base, wanting to enter it, for what? The Na'Vi didn't know.

"Get out of the way!"

A Na'Vi shouted, pushing a young man out of the way of an Angtsik, in time enough for the large creature not to carry him off and kill him.

"BOOM!" came another great sound, as the same Angtsik slammed into the outer wall of the base, backing away shortly after, only to regain momentum and run back to the wall, intending to hit it again.

"Quickly, help me safeguard the others, don't try to control them, it's obvious you can't, just get them out of the way and no one gets hurt," the Na'Vi said to the young man he had saved from the Angtsik.

"Agreed, and thank you for earlier."

----------

-----

"Quick, get him in here!"

Grace said, instructing the Na'Vi to place Aleyx on a large gurney, where she began to stick medical instruments into his head, chest, and abdomen, at the same time other Na'Vi, whom she had been teaching, took needles and filled them with some liquid, and then injected it into Aleyx.

"Does anyone know what happened?" asked Grace, as she waited for the measurement controls to show some sign that would explain Aleyx's condition.

"We don't know, we were on our way to you, when the Olo'eyktan started moaning, then passed out" explained Ferlu, his brow furrowed and watching in great detail everything they were doing to Aleyx.

"Wow!"

At that, Grace's voice full of astonishment could be heard, as she moved closer and closer to the monitors.

"Wow, what? What's going on?" asked Manatiel.

Grace, watching the images, replied, though only thinking out loud; "This... I've only ever seen it in wildlife, it's never been cataloged in any organism, let alone a Na'Vi."

"Explain yourself, Grace" complained Ferlu, impatiently.

"This is a molecular transmission... but at much higher levels than those seen in nature, it looks electrical, but because of its reaction speed, calling it electromagnetic would be more accurate."

"So what does that mean, does it affect the Olo'eyktan?"

"No, no, not at all, it's just that what may have caused Aleyx's shock was this, simply put, our Olo'eyktan receives and emits molecular transmissions daily, here it shows that every minute it sends over 950,000 transmissions, that's almost 16,000 every second, that's almost the same amount of information that a spirit tree sends... It's just amazing.

With that said, the room fell silent for several seconds, only to be interrupted by another loud sound coming from outside the base.

"At this rate, we'll all be buried here, get the Olo'eyktan up, we're leaving" ordered Manatiel, going to grab an unconscious Aleyx.

"No!" shouted Grace, as she continued to watch the images on the screens.

"What do you mean, no?"

"Wait," said Grace, as she raised her hand and followed some pattern on the screen.

"Here."

"Here what?"

"Help me get all this stuff off him, quick," Grace said, going to remove the medical instruments Aleyx had.

"Tania, get a defibrillator," she said to another Na'Vi, who ran off in search of the instrument.

When everything was removed, Tania returned with an advanced device, which she handed to Grace, as she quickly pressed the buttons.

"What does that do?" asked one of the Alphas, approaching Grace fiercely.

"It makes the heart work again, it is used when the heart stops."

"But the Olo'eyktan's heart works, that alone will kill it," said Je'la, the alpha who had questioned Grace, as he held his knife tightly.

"Yes, I know, that's why I won't give it much power, it will just give Aleyx energy, that, if my hypothesis is correct, will cause the molecular transmission to attenuate a bit, causing the animals to calm down."

With that clear, Grace placed about four plates on Aleyx's chest, while telling everyone to stand back and not to touch Aleyx.

When Grace saw that everything was in order, she turned on the machine, which immediately shared electricity with Aleyx, judging by how his skin spasmed a little and how his photosensitive receptors reacted to the external energy.

After that, Grace took a tablet from a counter, then looked at Aleyx's head, seeing how much of the molecular activity produced by it had been depleted.

"Grace let out a sigh, watching as all the activity subsided, leaving her with many questions in her head, especially seeing how the transmissions Aleyx was emitting were the same as those from the spirit trees, and how they were altering the behavior of all the fauna on the base.

I was planning to post this in January but, well, today is my birthday, so this is my own gift to you.
