Bum...

Bum...

Boom....

Small but consistent and full of a great load of information, so were the signals that were constantly transmitted throughout the thick jungle of Pandora, spreading like waves in a still pond, until they covered everything.

Wherever the signal passed, the wind blew strongly, causing dead leaves to fall from the immense trees, giving the illusion that the green trees were crying. The animals that had the bad luck to see the signal became agitated, acted erratically, and even became self-destructive.

In some parts where the signal traveled thanks to the roots of the trees, several Na'Vi could be seen crying their eyes out, with expressions of internal struggle and agonizing pain. They watched helplessly as hundreds of spirit trees were torn down by large machines.

The machines, being remotely operated by qualified personnel located miles away, sitting in reclining chairs and drinking juices, watched through computers as the Na'Vi, futilely, did everything possible to stop the immense machines, all with no clear success.

One of those controllers had to put his drink aside when, in front of the machine he was controlling, a Na'Vi crossed his path, waving his arms and acting strangely.

The man, not knowing what to make of the situation, decided to call Selfridge and say, "Boss, I've got a problem here!"

Selfridge, stopping what he was doing for a moment, approached the man who called out, "What's going on?"

"A native is stopping my machine; he's right in front of it," commented the guy, full of exasperation in his voice.

Selfridge, without a second thought, tapped his finger on the remote control, causing the machine to move forward again. "Don't stop; let them know we won't stop."

With that, the former Na'Vi had to pull back so as not to be crushed.

"Jake! We have to go." Neytiri, with panic in her voice, shouted to the Na'Vi, who turned out to be Jake, causing Jake to follow, as they both began to run.

"See, he's out of the way already," commented Selfridge lightly in the control room, as he watched Jake take off in front of the machine.

For his part, Jake ran up to the side of the machine, wanting to get on it, only to be stopped in his tracks when he saw a human inside an AMP suit aiming, and, with no choice, he abandoned his earlier idea and left the scene.

"Neytiri! Come on, run!" said Jake urgently, grabbing Neytiri's hand and running with her out of harm's way.

At the collector base, Aleyx had just woken up, and his first prayer was; 'let the warriors be ready'.

It was a bit of a shock to everyone at first, especially considering he had just been through an unhealthy experience for his body, but Aleyx refused advice and left the medical wing of the base to go find Fang.

"Aleyx! Wait!" shouted Grace, running after Aleyx as she tried to catch up to him.

Aleyx, without turning to see her and without stopping his pace, replied, "What do you want, Grace? I'm in a hurry."

"What's going on? Why are the warriors gathering?"

Aleyx, taking a few seconds of waiting and deciding what to tell her, just let out a small sigh and turned to Grace: "The sky people have attacked Eywa, Pandora; that's only what you can know; be content knowing that at least no one has been killed."

Grace, taking a few seconds to take in what Aleyx said, blurted out something that maybe she shouldn't have: "How do you know that, is it because of the connection you have with the animals?"

With that said, Aleyx stopped suddenly, to face Grace as he grabbed her arm. "How do you know that? You shouldn't know that."

"So it's true," Grace said almost in a whisper, looking conflicted and a little excited.

"Look, now is not the time to answer all the doubts you may have; I have steel to knock down." That was the last thing Aleyx said, then went on his way, leaving Grace full of questions in her mind.

In the Omaticaya tribe, several warriors were already gathered, who were waiting for the order to go to fight against the machines that had demolished the sacred trees, when, at that precise moment, Jake and Neytiri arrived on the scene.

Their joint arrival created more tension in the air than there already was, which intensified when Tsu'tey shoved Jake once he saw him.

"You mated with this woman," he said loudly, anger clear in his voice and face.

Mo'at, with a puzzled face, approached Neytiri, and with a perplexed tone spoke to her; "is this true?"

Neytiri, with a small hint of regret on her face, replied to Mo'at, "Yes, Mother, we unite in front of Eywa, there is no turning back."

With that said, all those gathered were alarmed, not because the new couple had become known, but because Neytiri was the woman established by Tsu'tey since she would be the new Tsahík and Tsu'tey the new Olo'eyktan.

But now, not only was it evident that Neytiri had not respected her parents' decision, but she had already made her relationship with Jake firm in front of Eywa.

Jake, deciding not to be left out, raised his voice: "Don't attack the sky people; please, brother, I beg you."

Tsu'tey, who was already pissed off until he said no more, unsheathed his knife and forcefully lunged at Jake while making him understand that they were not brothers.

However, Jake evaded him without difficulty, as he drew his knife.

"ROAAAR!"

Just at that, a roar was heard, causing the small fight to stop for a moment, giving everyone space to focus on observing the new guest, a Na'Vi riding a Thanator.

The Na'Vi, seeing that the scene in front of him was not the best, decided to get off his mount, and then head towards where Eytukan was, being closely followed by the fearsome black beast, which was acting as his bodyguard.

"Solatu enjula Eywa, em'bawe Olo'eyktan Aleyx, setu afe'la Subaiya" (Hello, sons of Eywa, I am on behalf of the Olo'eyktan Aleyx, of the Subaiya clan).

With the Na'Vi's spoken words, he earned puzzled, nervous, and even hostile looks from the warriors present, only for them to vanish once the Na'Vi stated his purpose in the clan.

"The Subaiya clan offers its aid against the sky people; the Olo'eyktan is headed this way with warriors ready for the fight."
