A few days after they arrived in the Commonwealth's capital, which would host the next match in the tournament, Finn made his way down to the Iernan side of town for a dram at Aoife's invitation.
The cool evening air, just before the fog, was rich with the scents of beer and sizzling pans. Street food vendors plied their trade in the pseudo-village square of this pocketed outpost of Iernan heritage. In truth, it was a slum, but privileged enough from the Rose's love of cheap labor to keep itself mostly clean despite the obvious disrepair.
Sure, technically he wasn't supposed to be drinking alcohol until after the tournament, but that didn't mean he couldn't buy a bottle or two to take home and enjoy. Aviye had its fine alcohols, and Finn would never say no to a bottle of good plum wine, but whiskey was home, and he hadn't had a drop of the stuff in ages.
