Ghost Cats taste the fist of love

Ren stepped inside the gate.

This time the situation was clearly different than anything he experienced before.

And that was because it was very dark inside of this place.

There was sufficient lighting to see around, not that he couldn't anyway, but the place was illuminated by the three red moons in the sky.

Despite that, there was still the general sense that this place was filled with evil, desolate, and almost like a hell just from the aura.

'Such a weird place,' Naturally Ren was interested in such a thing.

But as he was observing this place, he suddenly noticed something.

It wasn't just the atmosphere surrounding this place, but even the trees, the rocks, and basically everything.

'Is that blood?'

The rocks even glowed a red color like they were coated in blood.

It was weird.

When he stepped closer to see, it turned out the rocks had that natural color.

"So ominous, haha"

Ren knew this was an S rank gate, but it seemed to be interesting to him this way.

'Alright, I'll scan the area first…'

After a while of observing, he finally decided to get to the point of why he came in the first place.

*Ting*

Once he spread his observation haki around, he felt a few presences nearby, but they still had a few minutes of distance between them.

'From the shape of their aura, it should be a feline type of monster, hmm, but something is weird about their aura too,'

Ren noticed a light blue big feline or cat aura belonging to the monsters.

Some lazed on the trees, and some walked around and ran like the wind.

But as they ran, they'd suddenly disappear and appear later.

That was what Ren had noticed was weird about them.

'Well, for now since they aren't close, I'll check the next skill, and then go check on these monsters…'

He made a plan before he brought his status again to see.

-Chakra (SSS): Medical ninjutsu (S) Summoning technique (S)

He focused on the chakra column in his skills, and especially on the summoning technique.

Despite getting an initial understanding of it earlier, he felt it won't work as it lacked something.

However, even so, he wanted to try now and see after doing the summoning method as he understood.

Yelling out loud 'Summoning' might have something to do with it too, but who knows?

Unlike the seals he'll have to do with his hands in the world of Naruto, in here, since it was a skill that used mana, he only had to move the mana as he understood from the skill he learned.

Normally, those who had the skill chakra, had some special pathways in their body that they moved the mana through to be able to perform the skills.

And Ren had acquired that the first time with Sakura.

The same was for Haki too, and now his body was capable of using both Haki and Chakra.

As far as Ren understood, Mana was the power engine behind the skills. And meanwhile, either chakra or haki were the pathways people were born with that allowed them to manipulate the mana in their body in certain ways that allowed them to perform jutsus and Haki techniques from the worlds of Naruto and One piece.

At any rate, he wasn't very knowledgeable and he could take what his status showed him and just thank the goddess that he was able to use such techniques…

'Since I don't need to use those seals,'

*Puff*

Ren moved the mana in his body and suddenly slammed his palm on the ground after which a spiderweb of black writings spread on the ground just like the summoning circle does in the world of Naruto.

But despite the smoke and the summoning circle, nothing happened.

Which led to Ren frowning.

'As expected…'

It wasn't like he didn't expect it so he ended up sighing.

*Puff*

Smoke exploded once again and the writings faded off once again which led to Ren raising an eyebrow.

'Perhaps it doesn't work because I need to sign a summoning contract first in this world just like in the anime?'

After some deep thinking, that was the only thing he could assume was wrong with what he did.

"Alright, with that out of the way, all that is left is trying my new haki, and finally wakening my new trait,"

He grinned as he anticipated that.

He was savoring the best for last.

He suddenly vanished from his position.

A couple of hundred meters away, a feline-type of monster was running around casually.

It was a mixture of black and blue that was very ominous looking, and it had four eyes instead of two, and two pairs of giant ears for its body.

But suddenly the hair in its neck raised in alertness, and its body became phantom all of a sudden.

And then, as soon as it did so, a punch appeared nearby it and passed through its body harmlessly.

The shockwave from the bunch resulted in a cloud of dust rising, but it seemed that by the end, the cat was

"Oh, you could dodge that?"

A surprised voice rang out.

The cat that had dodged wanted to escape but under Ren's pinning eyes, it couldn't move even a bit. Its instinct warned it of the incoming death.

*Growlll*

Ren stepped a bit and showed a slightly perplexed voice.

He didn't expect it to suddenly turn into a Ghost Cat.

'Well, they do call this place the Ghosts gate, but I didn't expect it to be literally,'

Ren hadn't researched about this place before entering it so he wasn't aware of the special abilities of the monsters just yet.

According to his strength, if he touched the cat it would have been crippled after that punch and died after another.

He was just punching causally after all and not with his full power.

As he wanted to make a comparison point between normal punch and with haki.

He shook his head and then said.

"Then, let's do it this way,"

His left hand now suddenly coated black reached for the cat at a speed it couldn't dodge, and despite being intangible, it was caught easily.

*G-Growl*

And then with his right that remained normal, he punched, much like before, and the cat that was trying to turn intangible again was punched in the stomach and almost exploded from the impact.

*Bam*

Blood leaked from its eyes, and its skin burst in various parts of its body through which it started leaking blood through.

*Growlahh*

*Grahhuah*

It growled in pain and moved erratically from the pain as it used its limbs and claw to try to free itself.

'Oh?'

He wasn't expecting it to be able to move after one punch, but it must be more resilient.

'Although you are stronger, it's a pity for you that you won't be able to live next,'

He didn't enjoy torturing the monsters, despite them being evil, and only had an instinct for killing humans.

But, this was for the sake of his experiment to see how stronger he had become.

After this, he wasn't going to keep this up ad would instead deliver an instant painless death. At least when he can.

His right hand was suddenly engulfed and coated in Haki like the first one.

"Taste my fist of love, haha"

It was apparent that his haki was more darker than before. A testament to the upgrade.

And then this time, as he punched the cat, its body directly exploded into body parts and blood, and Ren shielded himself using his wind ability to create a barrier around him.

'Three times as strong as before,'

He nodded to himself happily.

Previously his haki gave an upgrade only one and a half times as powerful as his raw strength.

Now with three times, it was definitely amazing.

'So, this is the SS rank Armament, hmm'

He was certainly satisfied.

But he also couldn't help but be anticipant of what his observation would become, would he be able to see slightly into the future? Or would that be until the SSS rank?

What about the King's haki then?

He was very excited about the future.

But for now, he didn't forget about his armament haki just yet.

There was still a new technique he had learned about.

'There is still another technique other than this, but that's for later,'

His body flashed and he was suddenly in the midst of three Ghost Cats.

He grinned before he proved them by striking normally with a punch.

The Ghost cat that was punched was only thrown back a bit since Ren wasn't using haki nor his full strength.

He wanted to study his technique of course.

The cats were enraged and suddenly became intangible and jumped at Ren.

The most dangerous about them is even while intangible, they can touch their prey, while none can touch them normally.

For regular people, their weapons would have to be doused with a huge wave of mana before they can leave a scratch on them, and that would consume too much for them.

That was why there were some potions created for them to help but they were a bit expensive, and as such apart from unique individuals with the haki skill or chakra, not many were willing to waste so much to hunt Ghost Cats.

At any rate, seeing the claws coming for his face, Ren pointed his palm at one of them, and suddenly a wave of haki came forth from his palm and blasted the cat hundreds of meters away into the sky in an arc and finally once it was about to fall it kept impacting the ground and bouncing back up leaving craters as it landed each time and the force still kept it going, a testament to its strength.

Finally, with a final impact to the ground, it laid in a crater as a dust cloud was raised. It didn't get back up after.

'It's definitely dead,' Ren remarked to himself.

The other two Ghost Cats weren't aware at all, and when they were about to touch Ren, he just grinned and focused slightly.

This time the two Ghost Cats were also blasted but it wasn't through his palms, instead one was through his shoulder, and one was through his back.

The outcome for the Ghost Cats wasn't any different than the first one.

'It seems I can use this technique however I wish,'

Ren was satisfied with this experiment so far.

He then grinned as he located the nearby Ghost Cats, making them feel something ominous coming.

He was going to continue exploring this gate, and once he gets a sufficient experience with his new Haki, he'll then awaken his trait, and deal with the boss. That way he can learn and master it while in combat since the monster boss would likely be SS rank.
