Why Is He Here?

As soon as Anna reached the hospital, she zoomed towards the reception.

"Kiera Simmons. Is there an entry on her name? I am her friend."

"Yes, she was admitted a while ago. Here's the entry."

The nurse sitting in the reception table showed a form of entry. That passer-by, he must have filled up the form.

"There's one thing, the person who admitted her here also bought a man with him. He said not to let that man inside the hospital room as he seemed a bit suspicious to him. Though I told him, he refused to move from there. Please handle that problematic man. And here is that patient's phone. He left it here," the nurse said in one breath as she looked quite irritated with that stalker.

Anna turned towards the direction the receptionist pointed and saw a very familiar figure. A person she was least expecting to meet here at this moment. So, the receptionist lady was thinking that he was the stalker?

She turned back to the nurse and said to her, " Thanks, you did the right thing by not letting him in."

She stomped towards the bench where he was sitting and stood in front of him. She doesn't know what happened between these two. But it was her instinct telling her not to let him in. That passer-by, if she gets the chance in future, she would really like to thank him big time.

"Get the hell out of here, Owen."

Owen looked up to the person who addressed him and surely, he was more than surprised and shocked to see the person. Never in his wildest dream, he had guessed that he would meet Annabelle today. It's been a long time since he got to see her in person.

"Annabelle, Kiera… she has a fever…." Owen looked a bit in despair as if he was really very worried about her.

"Stop your nonsense, Owen. I don't know what exactly happened between you two, but I have some brain here. I would like you to get out of this place before I really force you."

Owen was more than shocked by her attitude. The Anna he remembered was never like that before. She was more of a timid and gentle kind of girl, but right now she was looking like an injured hyena.

"But this isn't what you think it is. Just let me see her once. I have something to tell her," Owen sounded quite desperate.

"Whatever you have to tell, you can do it later when she allows you to. Right now, I can't allow myself to make such a random decision on behalf of her. If she feels like meeting you, she will do that later. Now, just go away," this time, Anna is damn serious.

She was already irritated by the fact that Owen was trying to act all friendly with her when she doesn't remember sharing this type of relationship with him to listen to him. He was just a mere manager of some idol who has some shady scandals in her pocket including being in a relationship with her own manager. Anna doesn't believe all these rumors, but still some parts of the rumors were really true. It was perfectly fine until he didn't bother Kiera anymore. Why would he involve Kira in his messy life? She doesn't know anything, because Kiera never told her. She will wait until she tells her.

After a long hour, Kiera woke up. Thank God, she didn't have any other injuries but just lost consciousness because of overwork and anxiety. Come to think of it, she was never this dead drunk before today. Then what exactly happened to make her like this?

"Hey, you have the wish to die? Why did you drink so much?" Anna said when she entered the hospital room seeing her laying down on the bed. She was looking quite drained and tired. Annabelle never saw Kiera act so careless before. What would have happened if a crazy driver ran over her? Wandering on the streets drunk is the most dangerous thing to do actually.

The moment Kiera saw Anna, she jerked up and sat down.

"Who brought me here, Anna?"

Anna was silent for a moment. This is the first thing she asked after waking up? Scratch that, what should she actually tell her? Should she say that she met Owen today? Urghh… this didn't make it any easier for her.

"How would I know? I heard from the nurse that an old man brought you here," Anna decided to make up a story though she wasn't so sure if the passer-by was old or young.

Kiera looked a bit disappointed by her answer. What was bugging her the first moment she woke up? Did she fantasize about a shining armor price to save her tonight or something? No, no, this doesn't match with her personality, but still, looking so eager to know who saved her the very first moment after waking up is kinda surprising too.

"Why is he here, Anna?" Suddenly Kiera asked.

Anna was so immersed in her thoughts that she totally forgot that she was with someone this whole time. Shit! She dragged him this far, now she completely forgot about him. This is really embarrassing.

Anna turned around and found Jaemin still standing against the door looking at them.

"I'm so sorry, Jaemin Ge. Why didn't you go back home? I really didn't realize you were still here."

"It's okay, just finish your work here. I am waiting," Jaemin said as he still chose to wait for her.

Anna felt super guilty to make him stand for her this long. Also, she thought earlier to stay here tonight with Kiera as the doctor told her to stay the night here as she needs some rest.

"It's fine, I am gonna stay here tonight. You can head back home," Annabelle said looking at him thankfully.

Kiera was more than confused witnessing the whole situation. First of all, she doesn't know why Anna is suddenly acting so differently in front of Jaemin even though she was all in a wary mood around him a few days ago. And calling him this affectionately? She knows what this 'Ge' means. This doesn't make sense. What did she miss in this short time?

"You don't have to stay here for me, you dumbo. Go home and rest for a while. I am gonna sleep now. Do me a favor before you go. Buy these prescribed sleeping pills and all for me. Doc said to have these for a while," Kiera tried to read the mood, but right now, all the things went past her understanding. Feeling defeated, she passed the prescription to Anna.

Anna was going to grab that prescription but before that, Jaemin took it from Kiera's hand saying that he would buy those. When Jaemin left the hospital room, Kiera pulled Anna by her hand to make her sit beside her. She is too curious right now.

"What's going on, Anna? Mr. He… when did he become Jaemin Ge? And how come you're so okay with him all of a sudden...."

"There's a lot to tell, can't finish in one night. You better sleep today. I think you also got something to tell me this time."

"Eh? When did the topic switch to me? That's not fair! How long are you gonna make me wait for Anna? And what about your date today?"

When Anna saw Kiera was still at it, she forcefully made her lie down on the bed. Why is she talking so much when she is this tired? Moreover, it doesn't seem like she could get to know something further about her and Owen for a while. As she herself has some secrets to keep from her. She can't ask others about their secret when she is the one hiding something from them, right? One day, she will tell Kiera everything. It's just that, today's not the right time for this.

Kiera was pretending to sleep by closing her eyes for a while but she was still feeling very curious.

"Anna, to be honest, he can be a bit like the moody types, but he is quite handsome. I don't mind, girl," she said, still keeping her eyes closed.

When she finished talking, the next moment, Anna hit her head with her hand.

"What kind of shit are you assuming, huh? He is like my brother. Now, no more talking, sleep!" Anna was quite surprised by the wild imaginations she already started to have in her mind. She was never the one to tease Anna like that. What made her act this cheeky, huh?

On the other hand, Kiera was feeling too confused as she couldn't get how that annoying guy whom Anna preferred to avoid a few days ago became her 'Ge'. Her head was already hurting, so this time, she really chose to sleep.

A few minutes after taking care of Kiera, Anna was strolling through the alley of the hospital floor when she spotted Jaemin coming towards her with the medicine.

"Thanks, Ge," Anna said, taking the medicines from his hand and giving him her sweet smile. She never smiled like this before. She would rather grin than smile whenever she was with him. Something changed her, after all, she is no longer the teenage Anna now. She has grown into a beautiful, enchanting, and mature woman to be exact.

"It was nothing. I better leave you two here. I also have work tomorrow. Let's talk some other time, little pie," Jaemin said, patting her head like he used to before.

"You still remember this name, hehe," Anna was quite happy to hear him calling her like that again. It was bringing a sweet nostalgia feeling inside her and somehow she was liking it. God knows how many times she wanted to hear this name again in the past few years.

"I will contact you later. Good night."

"Good night."

Of course, there were a lot of things she wanted to know. She was scared to ask him today, but she won't be tomorrow, right? Sooner or later, she will surely ask all the things she wants to know about.
