Chapter 1Beta not die

Jia Hyson has experienced a few strange things in his life. Stalkers. Sabotage. School children. He's more or less shaken them off well with varying degrees.

Well. Until now, anyway.

"You..." Jia Hyson rasps out in pain as he lays dying on the street, soaking in a growing pile of his own blood. The young girl got him good, must have read about how to properly make sure someone bleed to death from her father's crime novels. He hasn't recognized her before, but now that he sees her in broad daylight he can more or less imagine the sort of trap he's unwittingly been woven into.

His murderer drops the knife from her shaking, gloved hands and runs while the chaos of the crowd draws near.

Staring helplessly as she gets away, Jia Hyson closes his eyes and tries his best to block out the pain as he dies.

...

Sliding into the realm of death feels like falling into a dreamless sleep. One moment he was in excruciating pain, and after a period of darkness, he found himself perfectly fine. Opening his eyes, Jia Hyson finds himself standing in a plain, almost empty white room. There was nothing but him and a single white chair in the middle of it.

It wasn't exactly what he would've thought Heaven would be like, but beggars couldn't exactly be choosers. Besides, it wasn't exactly like he'd been a virtuous virgin in his life either. Maybe this is just what people like him get in the holy lands.

As he looks over to study the one piece of furniture in the room, he almost jumps when he realizes items were sitting on top of the chair. Those had clearly not been there before.

Tentatively Jia Hyson picks up a very lovely slim black notebook, half the size as a standard piece of paper, and a silver bangle with delicate engravings. "Damn it looks pure too," he mutters as he admires the bracelet in puzzled awe. A bangle and a notebook. What an odd pair of items heaven decided to bestow on him.

With literally nothing to lose, he slips the bangle on.

Immediately the bangle warms up around his wrist, and the engravings begin to glow blue. A small holographic screen pops up from the glowing bracelet to hover in front of him much to his shock.

"Hello, Jia Hyson. I am Bebe, your System."

Jia Hyson squealed in a very unmanly manner, not from fright or surprise, but from pure elated excitement. A system! He's a transmigrator! This! Was! The! Best!

Bebe the system: '... this was its' new master?'

"Um, hello Bebe," he greets politely, voice trembling in delight. As a fan of online novels and stories, he's read, criticized and enjoyed many tales regarding reincarnation, world-hopping, transmigrations and system administration. Never in his wildest imagination did he think he could be a part of one.

"Hello," Bebe greets back. While obviously robotic, the voice contains a distinguished elegance that screamed it was a high-class product, and it knew it. "I am Bebe, your system. You are currently located in your provided safe space where you can stay for prolonged periods. Access to basic furniture can be unlocked once you complete the first mission."

Forgetting the fact that he was old enough to be considered an uncle, Jia Hyson jumps up and down like a child brimming with eagerness. His mind already running through various scenarios and scenes. Honestly, he feels like he should thank the girl who stabbed him since now he can finally live through one of his favourite fantasies since he first came upon the genre.

"Mission?" He prompts with bursting curiosity. Was it acting out as a main character? Cannonfodder? Trying to preserve the plot? Break the plot?

Suddenly Jia Hyson felt a little nervous. He knows himself well enough to know that while he was a reasonably skilled liar, that may not necessarily translate to talent in long term acting, especially if he had to portray a character so opposing his current introverted personality.

"Do not worry Jia Hyson," Bebe says a lighthearted tone as if sensing his sudden unease, "You were picked to be the most suitable fit for this system. Not many have the qualifications, so even if you fail a few times, we will not terminate you."

"... So the termination is still on the table then?" Jia Hyson mutters. Well. At least he's given some leeway. That was reassuring. Somewhat.

"Of course," Bebe answers revealing a slight hint of contempt. "Bebe is very important and takes up a lot of resource and energy. If you waste Bebe, Bebe will waste you."

Jia Hyson can feel cold sweat start to form on his back. It seems maybe he celebrated this whole turn of events too soon. His system also seems somewhat capricious as well. Quickly he moves back to the main subject. "What's my mission then?"

Pleased its master seemed to be a good worker, Bebe happily told him, "You have been assigned to the Beta system. This means your missions will entail improving the world's plot. It's a very good job, as long as you can improve the plot you are free to do many things."

Jia Hyson lightly frowns. He's never heard of a Beta system. And just improve the plot? What sort of vague instructions is this?

Bebe ignores his master's expression to continue excitedly explaining, "Bebe also provides you with points and p to help with your missions. Points can be allocated into skills and traits to improve yourself, p is the currency you can use to buy items from Bebe. You get 20 free points and 1000 p."

Jia Hyson's eyebrows flew up at the information. Skill points he understands, but to so candidly give him a 1000 p sounds too good. "May I see what I can buy?"

The screen flickers until it shows what looks like a generic shopping site. "Welcome to BeBay," Bebe chirps, "Use your finger to scroll through the items. Feel free to ask for any further information."

Quirking his lips in amusedly, Jia Hyson began to look at the items shown only for his face to immediately blacken. Things like food, water and bandages were only 1 to 10 p, but everything else was so expensive! "Blood replenishing pill, 300 p? Mask of Poor Deception, 500 p? Minor Event Stimulator 750 p?!" He almost spat out blood when he realizes that these were all items under the label of Dirt Cheap.

Dirt Cheap his sister!

Half-terrified Jia Hyson presses the button to see the mid-range priced items before crying blood at the number of zeros that slapped his face. He takes it back. 1000 p was not good. 1000 p was clearly too stingy!

With growing dread, he quietly asks to see how to allocate his skill points. Once the Skill Allocation screen pops up Jia Hyson wonders if this feeling of despair is what all transmigrators feel. So many skills! From attractiveness to sewing, the list seemed endless.

Worse still his basic stats seem to be lacking. His EQ, acting and crafts were some of his higher stats among a few others. With appearance being the highest at 82 points and the lowest passing skill is drawing at 53, everything else he had was below the average. Truly a depressing scene. At the very end, he only had three special skills listed in gold: [Animal Charmer Level 2], [Psychotic Break Level 1] and [God's Scribe Level 8].

...Let's ignore the second skill. He really didn't want to know _(:3」∠)_

"Alongside your own current skills, you will temporarily gain the skill levels and special abilities of whichever body you inhabit as well," Bebe reassures, making him feel much better about the matter of his meagre skillset. With renewed vigour, he looks through the list again. "Of course as Host increases your skill points, to avoid becoming too overpowered eventually this advantage will be minimized so Host would still gain the characters special abilities but have a restriction in skill levels."

Jia Hyson nods. That seems fair. "Is it possible to ask you for a recommendation of skills to add points to?" He asks as he scrolls through the dizzying number of various abilities. There was even one for learning the unicycle and holding your breath. Indeed there seemed to be every skill in the universe here.

"Of course," Bebe proudly replies. None of its previous masters ever asked for its recommendations in terms of skill allocation. Bebe found itself already warming up to its newest master, who clearly has excellent priorities. "Each world will, of course, require different talents to live successfully in. Knowing this, Bebe has been magnanimously allowed to let you reallocate 20 skill points for each new world you enter."

Jia Hyson nods gratefully at the flexibility. It's not a bad system. Assuming he can earn points from completing missions, he'll manage to slowly establish a solid foundation to his skillset while still being able to get the opportunity to invest points into any lacking skills that would be indispensable for him in the next world. "How many points do I earn per mission?"

"Based on your performance, we give you a maximum of 10." Sensing his disappointment Bebe quickly racks on, "There are also opportunities for bonus points as well, your notebook will provide you with more information on that as well as details on your mission."

"Sounds good," Jia Hyson nods again, feeling quite cheerful again. Mastery of a basic skill requires 100 points. If he gets a decent score, he should be able to rack up 6 or 7 points every completed mission, not to mention the potential bonuses. With that type of math soon, Jia Hyson will become a master at this in no time!

He's not sure what being a master will entail, but Jia Hyson was rather satisfied just thinking about that as his long term goal for now since he's got not much else to aim for. Except maybe being able to afford a nice couch for his safe space. With lots of pillows. And wi-fi. And snacks. And-

"Any more questions?" Bebe patiently asks.

Jia Hyson breaks out of his fantasising and smiles, "No, no, we can start now. I'm sure I'll pick it up along the way."

What a carefree master. Hopefully, he will do better than his predecessors. Bebe starts the countdown obediently.

"Initializing.. prepare for transmigration in 3... 2... 1..."

He never counted on it going down this way, with an alpha whose dark eyes made his weak kneed and tongue tied, whose voice made his insides clench up, and whose touch made slick gush out of him like he was a faulty faucet. He pressed his flushed face into the sandalwood smelling sheets, limbs trembling as he arched his back even more, till his ass was very high and his chest pressed into the bed as well. “There you go, that’s a good boy.” The Alpha growled out, hands reaching out to knead his hips, and when he delivered a spank on Rory’s ass, a stuttered whimper spilled past the pretty omega’s mouth, muffled in the sheets. Moments later, fingers were digging into the omega’s hair, jerking his head up just as another spank got delivered on his second cheek, and this time, there was nothing to muffle the high pitched sound and it filled the air in a melodic tune. “Don’t muffle those sweet sounds, gorgeous. I want to hear every sound you make, I need to hear you as you fall apart from pleasure in my bed tonight, and that’s exactly what’s gonna happen.” * Cover isn’t mine. Having lived for more than two decades but still a virgin, Bai Chen wanted to end his virginity today as a way to make his girlfriend his Valentine. My Dear Duke(BL)

On his 20th birthday, Asher's mother confessed something he never expected. After the truth was revealed, she died giving her last blessing to him. That's when Asher found himself all alone, confused about his own identity and worrying about his future. What did she say? -He was someone special? -Someone people would come after? She said he was coming from a very rare but also a very special race called omega where men could get pregnant. Was it real? At first, Asher strictly refused to accept his mother's confession. But in the end, he had to believe it. Because it was the bitter truth. If he was really coming from such a rare race, and had such a special body, did he have to live all his life hiding so he wouldn't get caught and become someone's plaything? Was that the only way to avoid getting the bad ending his father got? Why was he even born as someone like this?! He just wanted a peaceful life. So, it wouldn't be as dangerous as his mother said if he just forgot he was special and lived like a normal person, right? People would not notice. Alas, it's been a long time since people last saw an omega and they must be believing no omega exists now. At least that's what he thought... He thought people might have forgotten about his existence and he would not have to face any problems in the future.  Whether he was special or not, he still became a target. When he was kidnapped and auctioned as a slave, he regretted ignoring his mother's last advice. "Don't trust anyone easily. Your safety is in your hands and protecting yourself is your duty." He could only blame himself and expect for the worst if his special identity was to get revealed and meet the same end as his father did. However, his fate gave him a second chance along with a huge surprise which changed his life for the better. Hopefully, Asher was saved by the so-called 'bloodthirsty monster' duke and brought to his mansion to babysit his spoiled 10-year-old little sister who threw tantrums declaring she wants Asher to pat her head and comfort her. Just to babysit this adorable, little girl.  He was safe. His secret was also secured within himself. Thanks to that chaotic sister and brother, Asher's life slowly took new turns and continued with almost no obstacles...till some point. The surprise? The duke happened to have some kind of a 'strange' illness that had no cure. Not long after when Asher discovered it, he ended up becoming the perfect cure for his illness. But how? -Remember? He was 'special'! Where would his specialty as an omega lead his life to? What kind of mysteries would he have to encounter with this duke wishing comfort from him?  Will the duke's 'strange' illness ever get healed? How would their story flow to that perfect happy ending with the twist of love landing in the middle of their 'just a deal'? ________________ Note:  This story continues in a historical timeline. Similar to omegaverse, but not the same omegaverse universe. Magic, revenge, dukes, royal families, curses, spells, heats, ruts... (The book cover is from Pinterest. Respect to the artist.)

After Breaking Up, I Married the General

Ryzel, a nineteen-year-old guide, was expecting to marry Dwight, but the man changed his mind a month before the wedding. “I’m sorry, Ryzel. I wanted a nice and compassionate wife, so I am going to marry Sean instead. Unlike you, who were usually preoccupied with other things, he always showed concern for me. Not to mention how highly compatible we are with one another. I've actually met him before, but he persuaded me to date you because he feels sorry for you." Without even waiting for Ryzel's response, the man left. Ryzel, who was left behind, can't even bother caring about his heart because he's been dealing with a lot of issues as a result of the sudden rejection. He was turning 20 in a month, which meant he had to be married according to the federation's laws. After he reaches the age of 20, the government's assistance will cease, leaving him to fend for his own expenses. If he is not married to a powerful sentinel, he will not be able to reclaim his inheritance and will be forced to die on the front lines. He instantly began looking for solutions, but his hope kept dwindling as his birthday approached without a proper solution to his problems. On the day he felt all hope was lost, his ex’s superior, General Lewis, proposed to him. "I'm not gentle and kind; my priority probably won’t be you; our compatibility may not be high; do you still want to marry me?" Ryzel questioned, fixing his gaze on the general. "It's okay, I don't need my wife to be gentle and kind. Our compatibility is also high. You can focus on your studies, job, or dreams. As long as you remember that you are my guide." “Okay, let’s get married.” ------------------------ This is the story of Ryzel's advancement in career and love life, even with all the troubles surrounding him.

I've just learned that I have spent over 24 hours reading this story.....and it's 100 percent worth the time investment!! This story is quite literally ABOUT creating interesting world backgrounds without plot holes, the author accomplishes this goal in every world. The update stability is about once a month but every chapter is thousands, if not TENS of thousands of words long... Well worth the wait. When it comes to Character Design Jia Hyson is an absolutely beautiful example of it. The other characters are great as well but as he's the main character and we spend the most time with him I'll sing his praises in this review. He has a developed personality with defined traits but he has more depth to him than you'd expect and the author never lets him stagnate and become boring! This is also due to the great concept of the story. Speaking of that, the story development is also fantastic. I feel that the pacing is top tier. The author is a master at making the mundane entertaining and the slice of life lively. But they are versatile because the tense moments do what they're meant to do and get you excited and on the edge of your seat in anticipation. The writing quality is always great, completely understandable at all times. The explanation of unfamiliar concepts is very endearing to me, the narration similar to a friend telling you a story after not seeing each other for awhile. If it isn't obvious yet I love this story. I don't like to give reviews before a book is completed but I wouldn't be upset even if I had to follow this story for the rest of my life. I also don't think many things are deserving of a full score. For me and my taste? This story is definitely deserving. (Sorry for the essay but seriously, just read this.)

This is an excellent novel that contrasts from the norm of transmigration stories. The protagonist(JH), who’s personality i absolutely love, is someone who is *very* shameless and isn’t afraid of doing what he wants. He doesn’t force himself to like others either, which includes the gongs, (to conclude he is, as the novel says, a spicy chicken), making the story feel more natural and realistic. Thus, you can throw away any expectations of love at first sight, since this is NOT one of those qt that has the mc/ml like the mc/ml because of a *special magical feeling* or because they acted like and are thus the ml from the previous world. Next, with the fantastic writing, one can easily be absorbed into the story and have a vivid imagination of each character. The comedy is especially up my isle, such as JH being willing to tease to the extreme, and the conversations between JH and Bebe. I find the concept to be unique too, since JH isn’t transmigration to act as someone, nor is he transmigration to fufill the wishes of others, but to improve the story by being part of it and so on. The gong is great too, since each part has a different personality and could be anyone, which, at this point, I just think of them as different people But since I’m biased, my all time favourite gong is *spoilers on the gongs* Da gong,100%, can’t change my mind.A sweet, loyal, loving, epic, powerful rooster with the cherry on top of being a tsundere, i can’t think of anything that could top that. The only critism i can give is that sometimes the story feels a little draggy, but besides that i have nothing to complain. To sum things up, great writing, comedy, characters, and definitely a top-notch novel worth spending time reading

First, addressing those of you who scroll down to the comments before reading. This book is the most amazing book I've read on this site so far, and you'll quickly find yourself lost in the plot and characters. It's a refreshing take on normal System transmigration novels. The MC has his own unique charm, which is to say he's a hilariously ****ty person. The System also is a great character. Originally, I didn't like interactive Systems with personalities, but Bebe is now an exception. Now, addressing the author. First of all, thank you. Just for this novel, I made an account to vote and donate, because it's simply that good. I am thoroughly addicted. There are little to no flaws in the work, and no plotholes that I can find. Two constructive criticisms. Honestly, even if you don't address these, the novel is still a masterpiece. However, I'm going to say them anyway. My first, and the one I hope you consider the most is changing the title of the novel. BL is already a very restrictive category of novel. Some people purposely avoid it. Even for people that do read BL, or people like me who seek them out, not all of us like the same thing. When I was scrolling through the LGBT+ category, I almost missed out on your story. I read the title, and thought it would be about Alpha Beta Omega mechanics instantly. The only reason I clicked on it was because the synopsis has system on the first line, and my love of system novels countered out my iffiness about ABO, Now, I don't have anything against ABO, and think it's good in small doses in transmigration novels, but I wouldn't read an entire book about it. I think you'll find your readers fit into three categories. Those who read BL indiscriminately, those who read it thinking it was ABO and stuck around because the story was amazing, and those who clicked without thinking about ABO in the first place. ABO is a niche within BL, and personally I dislike it because it reminds me of second-rate werewolf stories from the Wattpad days. You may not even realize that some potential readers are ghosting your story for thinking it as a completely different type of novel. Your novel is brilliant, and I don't want others to ghost it because of ABO to limit it's potential. When I think Beta, I, unfortunately, don't think of a unique, cool system with limitless possibilities and a kickass MC. Another is that the paragraphs are large, and can be hard to read, but this definitely isn't that big of the problem. I only noted it because I have a bad tendancy to skim, and I missed a really funny joke, only picking up on it because some people had commented on it at the end of the chapter. By isolating jokes or certain lines, you create emphasis, and it flows better for comedy and importance. Thank you, author, and keep up the good work!

What should I say? This story is amazing on a whole lot of levels. 1. The main character, Jia Hyson. First of all, he likes both men and woman, regardless of age etc. That alone should be enough reason to convince you to read this story. It is so rare to see a character liking both genders! He isn't interested only in the male lead, and that is so refreshing. Second of all, he's a murderer with messed up morals, but he is still professional when needed (if he needs to play a likable character, he keeps to his own settings etc.) and keeps to his own boundaries (granted his boundaries are really flexible). 2. The system, Bebe. Sassy system that clashes with main character? Check. Just love his commentaries. 3. The worlds/mission. Okay, so the whole premise of the story is that Jia needs to make bad stories into good ones. This makes the different worlds kind of cliches, but make no mistake: the worlds are amazing. Jia rewrites them so well. The plots of every world are well worked out, and the author makes something initially boring into something really interesting. You won't regret reading them! 4. The world building. The author really makes an effort to explain how everything works, from system hierarchy, to world consciousness, etc. It's really fleshed out. Okay, there is one point that needs to be known, a warning kind of, before you read this. I've already mentioned Jia is a murderer, with messed up morals etc. When I say that I mean that it's a really important, integral part of the story. It doesn't just gloss over it. I have to especially warn for arc 2 (?) I think, the ghost/horror arc. It gets really specific. You might come out with messed up morals yourself. So if you are sensitive to that kind of the stuff, you might want to skip that arc. But you really get a sense of what the character is like there. It could be I forgot somethings that are amazing about this story, but those are the most important stuff. All in all: It is really worth it! You won't regret it! Here I have some candy for you if you read it... It will definitely be the best experience of your life! The candy I have to offer is really good too.
