In the vast and treacherous world of Murim, where sword saints duel atop storm clouds and demonic sects plot in blood-soaked halls, legends are born from blood, sweat, and divine destiny. That is why it’s downright embarrassing that the name history will remember is Hwan Do. He's a lazy, noodle-slurping disciple from the Unseen Cloud Sect—a sect so obscure even the local farmers forget it exists. Hwan Do is, by all accounts, a complete failure. No martial talent. No cultivation breakthroughs. No ambition. And yet, against all logic, he keeps stumbling his way out of certain death. Bandits lose their footing while chasing him and accidentally run into each other. Assassins overshoot their mark and impale themselves on a discarded rake because Hwan Do bent down to pick up a dropped chicken. Cursed tombs collapse just as he crawls out, clutching a stolen artifact he mistook for a snack. If surviving was an art, Hwan Do would be the unwitting master of calamity.
What no one realizes—not even Hwan Do himself—is that his endless string of disasters isn’t just luck. Somehow, every mess-up, every close call, and every ridiculous blunder only seems to keep him alive... and maybe even stronger. Whether it’s dodging death by pure accident or driving an elder insane with bad advice, Hwan Do’s chaotic survival defies all logic.
Now, after a series of increasingly absurd accidents, including but not limited to: accidentally causing an explosion in the sect’s sacred kitchen, disturbing a slumbering earth demon with his disastrous attempt at cooking, and somehow getting appointed as an honored disciple because the Sect Master lost a bet, Hwan Do has been voluntold to escort the sect’s most terrifying beauty, Senior Sister Moon Seo Rin, the Ice Orchid, on a mission to the Celestial Lotus Summit.
Problem? She’d rather stab him than talk to him. Bigger problem? The Black Viper Cult is hunting them. Even bigger problem? Hwan Do still thinks this is all just a really long lunch break.
As ancient secrets unravel and demonic forces rise, Hwan Do will, through sheer incompetence, somehow gather the most unlikely crew the martial world has ever seen:
A drunken swordmaster who claims to have once cut the moon in half (he’s lying, probably). A shy poison expert who keeps accidentally dosing herself with her own concoctions. A runaway noble girl who’s definitely not hiding a world-shaking secret (she is). A talking pig with a wok (don’t ask).
From zero to legend, Hwan Do’s journey will shake the foundations of Murim whether he likes it or not. And he does not. He just wants a nap.

Wow I honestly didn’t expect to get this hooked from the first chapter The bullying scenes felt very real and emotional. I could actually feel Park Jae-Hyun’s fear and helplessness, which made the moment he stood up for Hwan-Hee even more powerful. That scene was 🔥. It wasn’t about strength it was about courage Hwan-Hee is already one of my favorite characters. The way he protected Jae-Hyun without hesitation shows he’s more than just a fighter. And Daniel Choi’s entrance? That was insanely cool. The aura and speed description gave me chills The story also hints at a much bigger world with supernatural powers, which makes me really curious about what’s coming next.
