I really liked this story came back after a year hoping that there would be more to it but am disappointed to find no updates. if you like this story check out the other free WN story(also on royal road)called out of space by Neobear also, check out the anime/manga/novel series called Gate. another good anime is Outbreak Company all have a similar premise to this series.

A heavy construction company needing a compound for employees and their families? Why not just a technological research company, with the compound for privacy and secrecy? The headhunting of the others main characters is too obvious. They can be recruited when the outbreak is impossible to hide. He should have focused on really important people: doctor, biologist, virologist, engineers, mechanics, programmers, security.
