I have read up to Chapter 100 at this point of this review. This review is about the negatives of the story til Chapter 100. 1. MC is Lvl 6 as of then. However, the issue is that MC has past knowledge of game-changing events and takes advantage of this. Making him really OP. He has way way above average attibutes. He also obtains the Silvermoon Set Equipment - said to be the best for players below Lvl 10. He has a Magic Weapon and a Secret Silver Weapon. He also has a Forging Exp Bonus too. With his current stats, he is able to defeat Monsters with at least 5 Lvls above him, when other Veteran Elites cannot due to the stat/equipment difference. He also completes Uniques Quests, obtaining him huge amounts of Exp, thus others can nvr get these Quests again. This would lead you to think that MC is the only player to hit Lvl 6. However, it is not the fact. So how then, did the other Lvl 6 players, who neither have the knowledge of the game as MC, nor do they have the Stats or Equipment as MC, even obtain enough Exp to hit Lvl 6? MC can deal 100+ Damage to high-levelled Monsters as compared to an Elite Party who can only deal single digit damage to such Monsters. MC farming rate is obvs way higher than the others....but somehow they still manage to catch up with the MC. Ridiculous! 2. Blackie and co has 8 Lvl 2-3 Bronze Equipment on each of them after grinding at an undisclosed and uncompeted high-levelled area as advised by MC. After meeting up with him for the Team Dungeon, they swap into Lvl 5 Bronze Equipment which the MC obtained during his various Unique Quests alone. At the Team Dungeon, somehow Gentle Snow and her Party have already obtained Myst-Iron aset Equipment and she has a Secret Silver Weapon. This was just after they only had Bronze Equipment approximately a few hours before they left MC during one of his harder Unique Quests - To obtain the Titan's Heart. How then, did they obtain Myst-Iron Set Equipment, if they did not have such a premium location as Blackie and co? They do not have a Forger who can forge Myst-Iron Equipment nor can they complete Quests of MC's lvl due to their lack of game knowldge and skill stats. It is like the Set Equipment miraculously appeared in their Inventory. Plus it was her whole Party not her alone! Flabbergasted! 3. The average Elite has Bronze Equipment of Lvl 2-3, since they can neither obtain Lvl 5 Bronze Equipment due to not having MC's prowess in defeating high-lvl Monsters. Yet they say that Blackie and co's Lvl 5 Bronze Equipment is low-lvled....Umm what?! Do they have Lvl 10 Bronze Equipment? Outrageous! 4. Females in this novel is mostly portrayed as wanting to go and warm the beds with anyonr who is deemed stronger than them, apart from Gentle Snow and Violet Storm. The author has some serious issues regarding females. If this puts you off, but want to read, you better brace yourself as in the past 100 chapters there have been 4-5 occassions... and I bet there will be more in the later chapters. Disgusting! 5. Equipment Rarity ranges from Trash, Common, Bronze, Myst-Iron, Secret-Silver, Fine-Gold, Dark-Gold, and Epic. At least Magic Weapons are introduced with a backstory. However, suddenly there is a Legendary tier which is not even introduced before. And it is mentioned quite often without any backstory. Puzzling! Overall, what I cant stand about this novel so far is the lack of consistency in some areas. The author probably did not want the MC and his Party to be so OP, but forgot about the difference in MC and the others - His expertise of the game due to his reincarnation. And this led to plot holes in the story.

LIKEWorse still when it comes to the War Arc. Tyrant as you know is of a lower.lvl than Fire Dance and her Party members. She is Lvl 21 as of now (current chapter Im reading), and she was 3.lvls ahead of Tyrant when she entered the Ranking List. Somehow Tyrant mamages to catch up to her lvl when he doesnt have the same efficiency as Fire Dance's Party in grinding Monsters. His Equioment is not even near the same as them. Plus, she has been grinding for.Lvls ever since then. So how did he even catch up to her lvl? The inconsistncy in Lvls is seriously pissing me off. Its like the author is not giving any consideration as to how Exp is even obtained. Just plonk in a Lvl number to make it close as. But does.not consider how it is even possible to reach that in the first place.
ThrustThunder:It's inconsistencies like these that rip me right out of any story. When the Author has to back peddle so hard from overpowering his characters it doesnt bode well for any of his other writing abilities.
Level issue: there are several moments when the MC gives up or loses EXP. The first time is when he binds his magic sword and it drops him from above level 6 down to level 0. This explains why he ends up being on par with the other elites at that time. Later he gains skills that require him to spend EXP to upgrade leading to him overall giving up probably over 10 levels throughout the novel thus far. He also upgrades to a class that requires twice the EXP of other classes. On top of that while as an individual he is able to make massive gains he spends a lot of time prepping for quests and other tasks and so those large guilds are able to keep up with grinding dungeons. This also accounts for why they tend to have good equipment as it is constantly mentioned that those kind of equipment are typically gained from dungeons. Blackie and the others do stay above others in levels but Tyrant stays up with them by abusing the system and having multiple parties grind and allow him to jump in to either kill steal or snag free exp right before defeating their enemy. Also I'm sure other quests exist that can produce great results with MC picking the ones that most conform with his plans for development, seeking the item/reputation reward above EXP. Also I remember hearing about Legendary weapons fairly early on and it was clear to me that magic weapons were something that existed outside the category of normal weapons.
Wow. You do have a point there. About the Quests conforming to his plan = I do kinda get it. But this lvl issue is gonna continue, especially during the Duel Arc. There r already Lvl 24 players when Violet.Cloud is only.Lvl 21, while the author says that getting to Lvl 24 takes a long long time. Im pretty sure Blackie is also Lvl 24 by then, and one would wonder how those players can even Lvl up so fast if Blackie has been doing high Exp Quests too, in addition to grinding in high Lvl Monster Areas with the gear he has. Note that others also dont have Epic gear to assist them, thus Blackie should have a faster time to gain Exp.

Trying to remember some of this, but one thing to keep note of is that while Blackie has OP gear that he is not a high tier player and that many of those who are ahead of him in level at that point are like that because they are either just better players or they come from areas with better resources. At point it is implied that lands residing in the boundaries of empires generally produce better leveling grounds and loot than lands residing in the boundaries of kingdoms. MC picked this place out of nostalgia and just being more familiar with it since it was his 'homeland' before. I also believe there are points where he diverts them away from leveling to focus on upgrading their tier which causes most of them to lag behind the levels of the players who didn't pursue their class upgrade quest. Then Violet, who has the potential of pro player, takes on a special class that requires higher EXP to level. Now if you pay close attention to levels and numbers it is likely to show mistakes but I think the author does well enough that a reader could easily choose to overlook it. Currently it seems like a major slow down has been in having them focus on techniques over EXP in preparation for what the future will require. The author also has mentioned in the story that levels are not as significant as players initially think as the MC in his past life took 10 years getting to level 200 due to the game having various mechanics that lower EXP whether voluntary or involuntary, and yet saying that if left undisturbed getting to level 200 should only take a couple years or so. I believe part of it was from falling in pitfalls of focusing on levels rather than tiers and techniques. Also from what we've seen when MC does choose to focus on levels it doesn't take long to grind, only it is a very low priority at this point as he seems more focused on elevating skills and guild resources.

This is a well thought out explanation. About the "lands" having different Exp providing Monsters or Quests, that would also be true.

But if you look at my analysis in Chapter 413: White Fog Canyon, how did those Lvl 26 players get so much Exp with almost the same amount of time as Blackie. Dont forget that MC also played a part in helping Blackie obtain the Exp and early game, Blackie had better gear than others, thus could grind in higher lvl monster areas. I wouldnt think that those Lvl 26 players could do that then. In addition, Blackie tagged along MC for the Fishing Arc and obtained huge Exp rewards. For the Crusade Arc, he defeated Lvl 30 NPCs. So I would also guess that these Lvl 26 players could not possibly have reached such a lvl. You said that they could have comppeted high lvl quests. But the higher the lvl, the more difficult it is and without appropriate gear, one wouldnt be able to complete it. As for the gear, Dark Gold Equipment and Fine gold Equipment? Where did they get so many pieces from? Drop rate also cannot vary from place to place, if not that would be unfair to the other players.

Dont forget, MC was the only one who needed double exp. What about Blackie? He was the highest lvl player, with OP gear and also worked as hard or if not harder than the other players (he farmed with the rest of the Party in high lvl areas). Yet, those players still managed to catch up or even surpass him. Does this make sense? No. They do not have the gear he has too. If you say he is not a top-tier player, then look at the rest of the Party, it also had future-known Top Tier players.
PEACHIES08:I think theres a saying that the mc need double xp to lvl up than a normal player thats why he hunts higher lvl mobs to catch up the other elite players who are OP than him.. when hes not reincarnated yet those experts are on tier 6 while him is stacked at tier 3
There seems to be ****tone of loops. Thanks. I wouldve wasted my time if i read.

This are the exact plot holes in the King of Gods novel. MC so OP that author scrambles to make the readers forget he's OP. These plot holes and plot hammering are just painful to read. Especially when a reader has a few novels under his belt of read books... I just don't get it how such a trash novel is in the rankings. Does QI use IMDB's bots?

When I am looking for a new Novel to pick up I *Always* read the reviews. I find that the people who don't like the novel have more honest and informative opinion than those who list spam "Good novel!1!!" over and over. "The King Of Gods", "True Space Mage" and especially this Novel may have high scores but once you start reading them you realize they just aren't as good as they should be. Either from a pace that's is too slow, writer inexperience or just flat out *Massive Plot Holes*. After getting engrossed in them, reading dozens of chapters through hours of reading, you feel like you're too invested to just flat out drop it because of a "few" minor inconsistencies. But after a few hundred more chapters of the Author making the same mistakes: Cliche story lines, Floods of one dimensional enemies, Forgetting their own world lore just to justify the MC's actions, Chapters of filler paragraphs that don't accomplish anything but adding to the chapter word count, etc. you can't help but get frustrated. After a while you can only give up and laugh at how lame the story really is. To blow off some steam I personally have taken up busting the Authors balls in the comments section anytime I see something on that list with a unique snarky comment. You'd can tell when you've hit the nail on the head when it's the most upvoted comment amongst hundreds of others.

It could be the fact that MC is swordsman and blackie is mage, the amount required for exp could be different

I think the plot holes are due to the author adding many different content then forgetting to put away their own notes. Unfortunately the inconsistencies only get worse in the latter chapters, although I have to admire the author's talent to waste many words on things that a lot don't care about (don't dare to speak for the Chinese readers) and concise the action into about 2 senteces. I'm truly said as in the beginning I really liked this novel. About the author having issues with females... I didn't really bother me in this novel, as I have read worse (I'd count LoHP in there as well, but that's only my personal opinion). Plus honestly, most of chn novels don't have a 'positive' portrayal of females.
Great review, but you're underestimating Asian gamers too much. XD also there are beta testers that has a mindset of finding loopholes. The MC is just another average player with a walkthrough, but it won't make him the best player nonetheless, since people who makes walkthroughs arw the real MVP.
