Update Hi there! I've been thinking about whether I should continue the story, especially after reading what other translators do when they encounter a boring arc or section of a book. The truth is, the key is to stick it out and I’ve decided that I will. Because there are still hundreds of chapters left, and I really enjoy the Hunter x Hunter universe. However, there will be some changes. I will be doing only two chapters a day, but wait! They will be of even higher quality than before. I’ll start using Grammarly in addition to editing the story to improve its flow and clarity (and to make it make more sense, tbh). That being said, don’t expect any new chapters for about a week. I’ll be busy rewriting every chapter up to 30 with the same quality you saw in chapters 31-50 and translating ahead. Now, a fresh start needs a new name for our main character. While I love "Ron" (the Harry Potter one), I've been told that it doesn’t quite fit as the name of an assassin, especially not as a member of the Zoldyck family. Here are some name recommendations I have: - Saisei Zoldyck - Kaien Zoldyck - Shuumei Zoldyck - Kai Zoldyck Please let me know which one you like the most! Actually, the mc don't have to has a name that resemble assasin. After all, what parent would choose a name that practically announces their child's future career well except for killua lmao. Here are a few suggestions from me hehe. For a Japanese name, I'd recommend Itsuki, which is interpreted as the peacefulness and strength of the forests in nature. Or maybe Asahi, which means sunlight, or even Isamu, which bestows on its owner hopes of strength, daring, achievement, or courage. If you're looking for a Western name, Alaric, meaning 'ruler of all,' has a commanding presence. Or maybe Edmund is more gentle and protective kind a fortunate protector. At the end of the day, the name of your MC can be your hope, the author, for his future or just a name that's actually just for his identification. Just do as you see fit.

I really don’t understand Chinese fanfiction how can China in particular create fanfiction that is just generally worse then every other ones out there. Is there something I’m missing because it’s not like every Chinese person wants to write badly writen characters and stories that don’t really make sense.

From chapter 30 onwards, the translation improved a lot. Furthermore, I liked how the Author is translating this work, very consistent and with few errors, a good quality translation. I don't know how many chapters there are in the original work, but I hope the Author doesn't abandon it and continues translating, as this is one of the best hxh novels to date. Oh, if I were just going to say something that I found strange, it would be the MC's name... Isn't that the name of a murderer, Ron? Damn... If I could I would change just that.

4 stars for the translation, 5 stars for the speed. The rest are 1 star. Chapters are filled with MC's expositions, mostly basic factoids that are tedious read. The Lina substory is just bullshit ripoff and MC's decisions after that went full r3t4rd. Dialogues are horrendous when it's not about basic HxH factoid. Author went full Ching Chong with the interactions with nonstop face slapping from goons who have eyes but couldn't see Mt. Tai

started out decently but it just got worse. the story hardly even feels like hunter x hunter with every chapter. first there is a ridiculous hunter ranking system that makes no sense. there are disaster beasts that behave like cursed spirits which doesn't make much sense and every chapter seems to have paragraphs of straight info dump exposition repeatedly to pretty much no end and the fight scenes are just boring over all.

I'm writing this review as of chapter 275. Writing Quality: This is a translation, and it's only so so in terms of quality. I often see mistakes such as translating "Nen" as "Aura", or instead of writing "Gyo" the translator write "Focus", also there are the usual mistakes of confusing the pronouns of males and females and even names are often changed between chapters. Updating stability: Translating 2 chapters a day is very good, so 5 stars here. Story development: I would say it is a 4.2 Stars, the plot is okay but the flow is agonizingly slow in my opinion. Also the MC golden finger is very interesting and intriguing, making me anticipate what the MC is going to get next. Character design: Quite flawed as just like almost all Chinese fanfics, the MC acts as a kid although he's an adult transmigrator, till chapter 275 almost all his friends are 10-11 year old kids. And it's not like he needs to keep up a cover so he befriended those kids, according to the author they just honestly hit it off and they became friends. Now once or twice I can understand, but that is happening every few chapters with over half a dozen kids. World background: The author has expended on the HxH world quite good and took it further than what was showing the manga and anime.

A man from an Earth gets the choice to start over in any Universe and chooses an Alternate Pokemon Universe. Let us see if his journey to the top is succesful and the impact he will have on his new world. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. I just use their sandbox for the plot of my MC and my OCs. This will be a "slow" paced story, in fact it's "super slow paced", so please don't expect the MC to directly start his journey in 20 chapters or so, actually multiply that by like 15.
