too boring, main reason is the mc, all he does is "make sure everything goes same as canon"

not following canon is a good start. no one wants to re-read/re-watch (you get it) Supernatural with an extra character...
give an example, what exactly do you want the Mc to do? explore different worlds?

There’s not even a point of writing a fanfic if literally everything stays the same. Have some imagination, change the story how you would want to see it change. Keeping exactly to cannon with little to no change defeats the purpose of it being a fanfiction.
