Respect. I hate how everyone hates on aang cause he doesn't kill the fire lord or because he acts like a kid. That's legit the second best part of the show right after the zuko and azula fight. And he is literally a kid. Plus, how can you not respect the fact that he won't go against his morals. Something most will do for any amount of money nowadays.

Thank you don't get me wrong I do like strong characters in avatar and I don't mind romantic subplots but I'm so tired of them making a gigachad murder hobo like it's a cultivation story. It honestly kills all my want to read those type if stories

Completely understand where you coming from. One of the most interesting avatar ff I’ve read so far was about a girl who was a part of the Sun Warriors tribe who went undercover in the fire nation to get information needed to make sure her tribe and the dragons are protected and fell in love with Azula and honestly i loved it because 1) Her romance with Azula was a main part of the story and instead of being random it actually what drove the story itself and 2) She hated the concept of killing, only time it even came up was when she was forced to do an Agni Kai and almost killed hey opponent by mistake because of a loss of control. Honestly it was such a fresh change compared to all the other Avatar bulls*** that I come across.

i don't know I personally didn't like aang but it wasn't because of the fact he was a kid tasked with way more than a kid should, but just because he has a get out of jail free power and is the driving force of the plot via convenience. i much preferred the mental aspects with the intrigue of discrimination based on power, the effects an abusive father can have with 2 separate people going down 2 separate paths each persons guidance also allowing them to grow. the powers and nuance was cool but I think the intrigue is the much better part. every character has great shows of growth even aang i just didn't like that he came with godlike powers that rescue him at any time and was the sole driving force of making the plot longer...
