mate 1 it's normal for an author not to want to have to write romance especially if they know they are bad at it (I'm not saying this author is because I don't know if they are or not) 2 some people like myself get tired of reading romance in every story when we are there for other genres most of the time 3 it said no female lead in the synopsis but that doesn't mean females don't exist that just means no female will be a real focus in the book meaning statements about him doing things with females can still be made in the book

I get that but even a subplot of it. It doesnt have be main focus or anything. I dont think anyone reincarnated or isekai would be no girls or try find partner. Idk just always weird to me when nothing. Who would choose be like a monk

a few mentions of a girl aka a minor subplot wouldn't qualify the girl as a female lead so it's doable if the author wants to much like what my 3rd point expressed females can be mentioned

still doesnt make sense, basicaly because most of the novels where mc reincarnates are meant to show us the new life of the mc, the mc adapting to his new rality, meeting new people, getting stronger, making a new life for him in this new world. so not looking for a romance or at least have s*x from time to time seems extremely stupid from the POV of someone living his life again and having a second oportunity, from a reader point of view sure its good toread if you are sick of romance no matter how small it is, but it also make the mc a flat person, besides getting stornger or run a business what other thing the mc does? its like he was half dead. i dont know about you but if i get reincarnated besides of getting stronger and survive i will look for a romance, not a harem but at least some romance or s*x life, i dont like to read about mcs that waste their second chance and are living a monotone life like this. altough i understand your point, from your POV

negative most of the books I read actually include romance but that's exactly why i would like a book without it occasionally just because it gets old

The only ones I know like that are reverend insane or something like that, and honestly it's pure garbage, I don't understand how people like those kinds of stories where the MC does not enjoy life in the slightest, they are sad and insipid existences, poor devils

there are indeed few good novels without romance which is also why i have so few to read making me even more sick of romance that I constantly see after all it gets annoying to constantly see the same thing over and over especially since most of the romance in novels is similar

I still haven't found a novel of the style that you like, although there are some more famous ones that I don't want to give them a chance like the Lord of Mysteries or Warlod Magus (I don't remember how they are called).

Do you know that there are asexual and aromatic people? You can very well live a beautiful, happy life without having a love life. Also, this story is a translation, complaining will not change the story.

Not wanting the smexy times or not wanting romance will depend on the individual. It’s not stupid, it’s just not what the character would want. If a character was turned into an incel because of being betrayed then it would be obvious they wouldn’t want to seek romantic relationships. If something traumatic happened during a previous smexual encounter then they probably wouldn’t want to seek that out. There’s also the other, more rare option of literally just not having any romantic or smexual desires at all. Besides, they don’t NEED a romantic life to have an interesting social life.

I agree however no one has even remotely described what the mc does besides work. While I would prefer romance since it often feels like something is missing otherwise, it’s not enough for me to drop but I would like an mc that is actually a living being so can someone describe what the mc does aside from his job?

Tl;dr: I hate harem I don’t like romance, at all. Mainly because most writers are incapable of writing a decent one. Most of the time whenever I read a ff with romance the Mc meets the lead and within the week they’re dating. Of course the Mc does a a few inuendos and the romantic lead gets all flustered despite the fact it was probably just a joke. The Mc gets close and the romantic lead gets flustered. It gets tiring after a while, and unless I’m looking for a novel or ff based specifically around the romance I doubt I’ll get any better. There are a few hidden gems but that far and few between. There’s even some fanfics where the MC straight up grooms characters from existing franchises when they’re a kid. There’s also the dreaded ‘harem’ tag. Most of not all are written poorly and the guy at the helm of the harem is usually scum that should not have been capable of even getting a single hoe who isn’t a masochist. It seems like when I read harem the members are just mindless drones with no ambitions, goals, wants, or needs other than supporting the Mc or having smexy times with them. Sorry for the rant.
