I'll be honest I love the dxd world the author did a pretty good job with the world building and a good bit of the lore but then he ruined it with basically over saturating it with annoying levels of ecchi and then trying to blend over the top shounen in most of the characters could have been great but the over the top ecchi just kills it it is better in the light novels but it really isnt some huge fundamental difference just takes it up another level dxd does make for great fanon if the author can pull it off though just because of the world

In the LNs the Pov shift gets u enough time away from Issie that u don't get sick and tired of his character. A lot more things are explained. Some characters were more likeable and fleshed out, issie is not one of them. Other than that it seems not too different.

Look like there are a lot of Issei professional haters gathering here👀, while some of haters here seem to somewhat decent here, sadly most of them come off as brats and their reasons are quite cringe-worthy👎

Objectively speaking Issei is among the dumbest and most incapable “protagonists” in anime…which really says how stupid and useless he is Rias on the other hand is Cersei Lannister with a better attitude

Nah. Rias is way better than her. Her talent and potential puts her in the top of her generation. Only real reason she lost to Riser is because of his Regeneration and to save Issei. And in terms of personality, the anime butchered her character and alot of others. Yeah she's kinda spoiled, but you'd be too if you grew up as a pure blooded devil, the little sister of a sis con devil king, along with a loving rich family.

Actually, it descript she already run out of power when Issei arrived and Riser is pretty much still in full health unfazed and nonchalant when Rias destroy his head and continue to talking like nothing happened, come to think of it, Issei kinda kind of saving her honour by giving her a noble reason to surrender instead of just getting beat up by Riser, but yeah I agree, she may leave half of peerage to die to recruit them, but she still league better than Cersei.

I’m only applying an equal standard between men and women. If the genders are equal and both can do what the other does than I don’t accept “reasons” or excuses for the coddling of women and holding men to a higher standard…especially when most of Rias’ peerage was handed to her by her brother on a silver platter
