To be honest I enjoyed it in the beginning but it went down hill when he became a marine, I don’ t mind when a Mc becomes a marine in a one piece fanfic but for this specific fanfic it just didn’t seem right route for the mc 🤷🏽♂️.

Does the MC leave the Marines and become a Pirate? Honestly I hate in a one piece fanfic the mc become a marine, because the marines are servants/slaves of the world government.

Spoilers So he basically dealt with a corrupt marine captain (similar to Axe Hand Morgan or Captain Nezumi) and so he got a bounty. The Rear Admiral in charge of that area told him that if he joined the marines, they would make his bounty go away so MC agreed, since he wasn’t ready to be a pirate yet. He wasn’t strong enough to thrive in the grand line, he had zero crewmembers, navigation skills, etc. So he joined the marines for a while and became pretty strong, then at some point he tries to kill a celestial dragon. Aokiji “stops him” but basically lets him leave, and Rayleigh stops the vice admirals from pursuing him so he became a pirate with a 500+ million bounty after that.
