The story started on an action note. The beginning was so intense that I assumed it would go downhill over the next few chapters and I was afraid of getting emotionally engaged in the story only to realize it has gone stale but I am glad that I continued reading because the tension and suspense buildup is so well done that it keeps me on my toes. The hero and heroine started on the right note but then it turned to the wrong note and now finally, it is drifting towards the right note again (You will understand if you read it 😉) The plot twist was mind-blowing. This is the story of a woman who doesn't believe in love and a man who wants to stay away from love but when they are tied together, resisting feelings is getting difficult for them!!! 😁 The heroine is super smart and witty. She is made up of sarcasm and narcissism. It's a compulsion for her to occasionally go like- Oh my god, how can I be so perfect?… I have gotten more beautiful than I was seconds ago 🤣🤣 And the man is wrapped around her finger since the very first day but he is taking his own sweet time realizing it. I absolutely love how they are at each other's throat one moment but in the next moment, he opens the car door for her and also squats to adjust her dress 🥺🤩🥰 The heroine is so strong and ruthless but around him, she is like a teenage girl trying to keep her gaze off her crush's body. Of course, when she goes in sassy mode, it's another level fun!!🥵 Their interactions, funny banter, and steamy moments are so engaging. Also, there is Gold who ate the hero's goldfish. Now, who is Gold? Read the book. For a new reader on this site, this is definitely a thrilling experience. Kudos to the author for crafting this masterpiece! I'd definitely come back to give another review in the future😏
