I totally understand what you are saying. In rebirth stories, there are certain cliches but for me, these are familiar tropes that pull me in. But when you mention originality is when you get me because as I have reviewed and read this story before, I really feel like there are original elements that traditional webnovels tend to lack. Healthy friendships, consent, relationship boundaries, inclusion of characters like Riri (puppy), even body positivity. So, while this book might remind me of rebirth stories I have already read but that is a trope problem not this book problem. To me, that is not a problem at all because I specifically look for stories like this. But again, it's the author's voice that makes it special for me. Like I said, I don't think I remember this mice torture scene or the pancake making scene or the puppy rescue scene and there are more that I unfortunately can't recall right away since I have already hit Ch 100. But my point is I think these scenes are so unique despite this trope being a cliche and they compelled me into following this book even more closely. As I can see, you have tried till Ch 8 and I really think you should try some more but again, we all have our perspectives✌️
Being a huge fan of rebirth stories, I have also tried most and PSL is one of them. But imo, this story is completely different from that one. It even starts with such a banger (the mice torture scene). One of the complaints I had from PSL is that I never got to know how MC died in details. However, the characters here are fleshed out and come with their backstory! And evil sister/friend and ex-bf is just a cliche trope which occurs in every rebirth story. But here, there are characters beyond that. There are healthy female friendships (Ruby and Ella). One more aspect I like is the first night thing happened with both the characters consent, with the girl initiating it under alcohol influence (revealed in future chapters). There are other fun, no harm characters like Riri and all. Most of all, the FL's journey as she loses weight, gains her independence is realistic and very grounded which makes it very relatable (to me, at least). So, I really think you should give it a try if you want a unique take on rebirth cliche. The story gradually picks up and it is really good in its own way.
I have written a review early on and now 100 chapters down, I do not take back a single praise I had given this story. It's so beautifully written. And I love the addition of Riri and the friendships that the character have. Some are in the process of evolving into friendships and I am here for it. Adrian's and Ella's chemistry is off charts as well🔥🔥
I know right 🤣🤣🤣
100 chapters yayyy💖🎀
Added this to my library after one look at the synopsis and I don't regret it. The first two. chapters chapters were engaging and compelled me to write this review. Will write another review after reading more🔥 Keep up the good work, author💓
