(I've only read 4 chapters so far so this might be obsolete in the future) As a member of the anti-harem sect, I hate this story on a fundamental level and that will never change, but I cannot deny that it is a good story. The MC's powers are not really that original (The whole kill to gain powers/skills/abilities is played out heavily on all fanfics) but his personality and outlook on life make his ability all the more interesting as he won't just resort to drastic measures like randomly killing a human being to gain power. (Id assume this means he won't be OP from the start and his battles will be a lot more challenging. I and others might enjoy this cuz who doesn't like an underdog) The start was fresh as he seems to be going to join the hellfire club instead of the brotherhood or Charles school which is definitely something I am looking forward to. Other than that the grammar is pretty decent and doesn't contain a lot of mistakes and even though it's an AU the characters seem to be reminiscent of their canon counterparts so it's not all that different if you're worried about like Magneto being some petty dictator or some Jesus like savior. The conversations/Dialogues so far are not bad and they don't just act like cardboard cutouts of their comic selves. My only complaint is that it's harem and I must hate this story for that, but if you like harem this might not be so bad as it doesn't seem to be a Catch e'm all type and his future girls/wives/girlfriends/lovers might have actually personalities. (Don't quote me on that) All in all this story is atrocious and I wish it never existed...but from a neutral standpoint, it seems to be headed in a good direction.

then try to read tags first , if it's tagged as harem then don't read it ? your only complaint is it's harem so it's bad .... i don't think harem = bad story i have read many bad single paring stories and many good harem stories
I used to hate harem but now I've just accepted it. Most authors just love to write harem for some reason and in my personal experience, its really hard to find single pairing fanfics on webnovel (I only read fanfics here) and so I've just accepted that I'm forced to read harem due to this. I used to detest it but in the end, it is what it is. I just wish more authors could write fanfics with the mc having only 1 partner.

I should start copy pasting interesting stories but editing out the horrifyingly bad harem sections. 95% of the time harems end up as ego stroking for authors or a +1. They are just there to pander to the limp dicked noodlearmed beta male soyboys on this site

Honestly if you're looking for less Harem fanfics SB and such are more for you though there's less anime fanfics there (at least I haven't found much though considering I've only been active there for like three years that's not saying much considering there's a lot of people that have been active for 5 or more years)

some of these people are just plain stupid, while the rest simply tend to dislike harem stories in general for the fact that harem is basically a must have in these unreadable, cringe fanfics.
