another canon rehash, i was hype because its quite different in the start but in the end its still follow the canon, do they need to go to wave mission no its only the author following the canon for no apparent reason, should also put it in the sypnosis that this is canon rehash

All fanfics are a canon rehash, a true fanfic will stick to most of the original plot, while adding, emphasis on ADDING their own unique elements. Their is enough unique elements added into the story, that I find this a very interesting and entertaining fanfic. The fanfic follows the mc of this fanfiction, not the other characters. It was also explained In the beginning why he wasn't going to intentionally change major plot points, and he loves the original development of the main cast as he is a true fan. It is literally in plain view how the author wants to write the fanfic, the little details are more than enough. This is a good fanfiction. The other fanfics with major changes are "original" stories with the elements of that anime/book/movie/game running with it. like Naruto fanfics with Uzumaki Naruto having Ichigo's power, fighting hollows etc in the elemental nations. That is a alternate universe fanfiction, not a true and true fanfic. In my opinion anyways.
Fan fiction or fanfiction (also abbreviated to fan fic, fanfic, fic or ff) is fictional writing written in an amateur capacity by fans, unauthorized by, but based on an existing work of fiction. it doesn't say it need to stay the same as canon, and also if his just copying canon whats the used of reading it when the ending is just the same as canon, I'd rather read the original since this ff doesn't add new to the plot.

it is perspective based, no need to change alot, just a bit and show it all differently

Well, I'm interested to read as long as the plot is different from the original. Shadowing the whole cannon plot makes me feel bored most of the time.
