I'm on chapter 90? I think,if not, it's something around that . I really loved this book and enjoyed MC's journey, it felt different in a refreshing way and there were many mysteries I was looking forward to be unraveled. Thus despite the fact that slow burn is not my cup of tea, it didn't bother me at all and I was curiously reading to learn which other obstacles our mc would face and how would he approach each of them. I must say that I truly admire and appreciate your work. The unfourtunate thing is that currently I can't keep going. It feels too stretched, feels like too many mysteries are going on simultaneously without making real progress, the main couple is finally spending some time together which only started after 70 something chapters and we see a side couple starting to bloom which we don't know the roots of. I mean I'm not sure the book needed it at that time. It just feels too much too slow. The dragged and hinted ex-love of the emperor lost its charm, MC's reactions now feels biased to the romance that's about to happen... it feels like. Not to the point that it doesn't make sense and not too much but it's still there. The ever ending vigilance of the emperor got boring, probably because it's his only trait except his love for the man he once wanted to marry. The concubines having more screen time than mc's insight of things is kind of sucking my energy. Some of these are definitely and the rest is maybe gonna change as the book moves forward but I needed to say it. I do feel kind of helpless because I was really invested, and as I said I appreciate your writing and I feel like you're doing an amazing work, which is why I take the book so seriously and have detailed comments about it. I'm not fluent in English and honestly too lazy to try to express myself most of the time, since it won't change much, especially when it comes to novels :) But I wanted to write this. Maybe it's a different perspective, maybe it's gonna help or maybe I'll come as annoying or irritating but I think it might help, if this is the first that you come across to a comment like this or if you haven't think about the parts I mentioned in a similar way. If it doesn't, I hope you don't mind me. I don't know if I'll be able to continue or not but I wish you a good time on your journey as a writer. Thank you for your work.
