This novel could have been great but it suffers from a "tribulation:" that a lot of these discreet ancestor novels face.. the main character not being the main character. See if you dont know what that means let me explain, in this novel it feels as if the MC is a side character in multiple other people's story and it does not really change and as the story goes along the ONLY thing he does is to vaguely get stronger (though we never really see the effects of that due to him relying on the system) and helping his descendants and thats it, there is really nothing that benefits him other than faith in which he invests back into his descendants. So dont waste your fast passes.

Dude that is the plot of this story not some shortcomings he is making his clan stronger and barely 30chaps we don't even know rn ... Giving 1* is really not doing justice to the authors and translators work 🙌🙌😭
Well yes but we only focus on the clan and we do not focus on the MC.. like at all and we really know nothing about him even far in except he was "extremely" powerful in his day and he disdains his current clan.
Bruh zzz lol u didn't read the story .. go ahead see the chapters he loves his descendants and never disdains them and we don't know about him because he is building strength and is growing as a spectral spirit which is unable to come out of table we'll definitely know more when his body is formed
Actually, it's more the MC focuses his attention, thus the reader's perspective, on his descendants. We see him strengthen individuals in his clan and then see the effects from the MC's influence.
The point of the story is that he isn't the main character. He's a ghost that watches over the family. The story is a focus on his family and him reviving their glory. Him helping the clan, in turn, helps him. He's their ancestor and wants to regain his clan's glory. That's what's in it for him.
Horror horror! An MC working to strengthen his clan/nation/... on webnovel should die an ugly death. A webnovel MC is only allowed to strengthen himself and his "harem".
My theory is that you like OP-MC so you can self insert yourself as the cool bad boy MC with a harem and inflate your ego. Therefore when the story focused around the MC instead of just on the MC your ego-inflating dreams were crushed and you went to the review section to type this godforsaken sin against the idea of writing itself.

😉 That seems to be this reviewer's main problem. Nothing about the story, plots, writing quality, world, characters and all. How dare the MC help his descendents... In my opinion this is one of the best novels in trial reads.

I definitely enjoy MC centered novels more so I do agree with reviewer to that end, but bashing a novel based on its premise makes no sense. The synopsis is pretty clear on what the novel is about, no need for a 1 star review.
