The story is amazing. It's got detailed worldbuilding that makes it feel lived in.The author might be one of the few good writers on Webnovel with his ability to keep you reading with a good mystery. However, for all my praise, I do have a major problem with the MC.To put it simply, the mc is one of the worst things in this story. He is so boring and bland, he is just another heroic Shonen Protagonist with no interesting or funny quirks that makes him feel human his only major character trait is being madly in love and that sucks because the romance between the mc and his love interest is very lack luster I mean I can see that they care for each other but their interactions lack chemistry

LIKEThanks for reading and taking the time to review It always amazes me when people binge what quite long books. I worked hard to leave just enough breadcrumbs so the reveals come across as "of course!" and not "what?" so it's good to hear that the mystery works. As for John, he is a broad character by design. Partly to make him accessible and partly to build the world around him. My approach to their relationship is similar. I wanted their relationship to be grounded, normal, and most of all believable. It's not some torrid ya affair, but a fixed point to build on. Lackluster I feel is a bit unfair, but I see why someone may reach that conclusion. I hope you'll share more insights on vol lll, which is 95% written, and will be posted in the coming months. Thanks again!
