Simple. When you monopolize the market you don't need to care about your clients and quality of products. It's not just novels, see telecommunications, technological, gaming industry, supermarkets.. all these corporations crush local competition, monopolize stuff and then all is left is you who can only buy a product in one of their shining places, because all other places have been crushed into pulp.

I’m rather confused why you don’t go to scribble hub since I find that with some sifting you can find just about anything, including some gems, or go to royal road where tbh there is an abundance of starting authors or authors posting first or second drafts that the site is overflowing with hidden (and unhidden) gems. Tbh at this point I don’t even check webnovel, except for the few novels I still follow from when I did.

if china did a crackdown on this company, I would for once agree with them.

The company is there to make money and if customers keep feeding their coffers then the poor quality, 1/2 assed work will just keep pouring out. It really needs to be overhauled.

I‘d recommend not that, I went to check it out bc it sounded familiar and I realized why. It’s from Jin Daoran. I believe the writings really good bc I read his other story, but the thing is I’ll never trust him to actually finish so I didn’t try reading this one. I was right too bc when I checked this time this story is also listed as “taking a break” and in the 130s just like what happened with his other story he dropped
