It is good, but suffers from many odd mistakes, most of which, are about the mc. He comes to the past with 30 years of knowledge about the game, but barely remembers about how to kill an undead. The combat is worse though. He literally slams a cleaver into a guy's head and he doesnt die, resulting in the MC taking a hit and having to stab him in the heart. This was a fight with an untrained bandit. The fights are slow, resulting in paragraphs of a single fight with a struggling MC. Literally 30 years of combat experience and nothing to show for it besides above average skills, not even that good. It starts amazing, but progressively loses its features.

A lot of the points you make, and various comments I've seen scattered around the chapters are entirely the fault of one thing, this is a game world, no matter how realistic it may portray itself, everything in this world is based on stats. If you cleave a greatsword into a bandit's shoulder, and you don't deal enough damage to plummet their health to 0, they're still alive. Yes this may be unrealistic, but at the end of the day it's a game that has to focus on some level of balance. And a character that instakills everything at level 1 sounds like an incredibly boring story with no stakes. Likewise any awkward movement is entirely the fault of low stats, he is used to high agility that provides him with all the mobility in the world, but currently has the stats of a beginner player. The undead issue however is another thing entirely, not all undead are equal, and it's unrealistic to assume that he has infinite knowledge, especially of a monster that only appears in the beta test that is active for less than a year. I will agree that the fight scenes take way too long though, that's something I'm trying to fix. I'm sad to hear that you believe the quality is diminishing, I'd be glad to hear any critique on how that could be rectified. Is it just the fight scenes that weigh the story down, or do you find that you skip over certain parts due to how boring they are? Too much talking, world building, etc?

This is a good read, it just suffers from a slight lack of detail in its diet. I didnt even know there was a damage counter for this, but I guess it makes sense, but the thing that I find annoying is the lack of expertise of the MC. He was hundreds of levels into the game and still makes a mistake against lower level enemies. I know it makes him balanced out, but it is annoying to see such a jarring contrast from the rest of this amazing novel.

Ahh, that's fair. I was trying to balance it out, with the main excuse being that he was used to having like 1000+ points of dexterity & agility. So while he is still mechanically competent compared to everyone else, he's being dragged down by his low level/his body doesn't react as fast as his mind, etc. I get why that's frustrating, but I really don't want it to become one of those stories where the main character pubstomps everyone and just has a bunch of people go "Wow, look at him go." in the background. So this is the approach I took.

Original but boring. Things I liked: The MC is basically an in-game scholar which is a cool new take that I wish had more play. Their family owns the game in addition to a bunch of other cool sci-fi related products/labs which is both an interesting character background and could wow the reader with ideas about the future. (Unfortunately, so far it is way underused) The world is a mix of different cultures from around the world and throughout history which hopefully means breaking away from East Asia/Europe (which is the generic setting for many of these). The fights are interesting and well done. The downsides: All of this sounds amazing but the delivery just felt flat to me. The only two cool sci-fi things actually mentioned are the video game and something to generate energy. The world feels modern rather than futuristic because of this. The family isn't interesting. Nothing wrong with that IRL but in a story it means that the chapters with the father drag due to a lack of interest. The sister is so in and out that she isn't much of a character. Again it makes sense why this would be IRL but in a story we need characters that grow and are interesting. There are glimmers of this with the MC's schoolmates and the former rankers in game but they aren't given enough time/enough of a spotlight to develop into anything. The game story is really slow. I don't really care about him doing a quest that everyone else has to do, just slightly quicker. The ghost sub plot is great but is buried under ... an escort quest that he takes for ??? reasons? The quest to gain Gaia's interest was cool too but the rewards were uninteresting. Ultimately his rewards are bland (50 chapters in and there is nothing that stands out), his actions are uninspired (there are no cool finding hidden treasures or bosses, just knowing how to get a base class), and when he does get interesting quests he either ignores them (he ignores the ghost until he can't anymore) or declines them (The oracle's epic quest). When the author mentioned the world was a mix of ours, I was hoping for a hybrid and therefore new culture. Not just a copy paste of cultures in different places, and those places are just European ones we have all seen before. Verdict: Worth a read to see if it is for you. The author may well be on to something eventually but I'm not willing to slog through more chapters to get to 'the good stuff'.

Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!

They shattered his life. Now, he’ll break the world. Ethan had it all, until his best friend and the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving him crippled and forgotten. Three years of suffering later, he clawed his way to one final, desperate act… and the universe answered. A hidden quest. A second chance. A return to the moment everything began. Now, Ethan is back, on the eve of Ethereal’s launch, the world’s first fully immersive VR game and the battlefield where legends are forged. Last time, he played fair. This time? He’s armed with years of knowledge: every exploit, every secret quest, every broken mechanic that will let him climb straight to the top. But when he logs in, something is off. The system forces him into an unwanted class—Druid, the game’s biggest joke. The kind of class people pick as a dare and regret immediately. Yet as Ethan digs deeper, the truth shakes him. [Congratulations! You have unlocked the Divine Bloodline: King of Elves!] Ethan stared at the screen, unblinking. “…The hell?” The Druid class was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none—a scattered mess of abilities that mimicked other classes but never truly excelled. Their bear form lacked the raw defense of a proper tank. Their panther form was weaker than a rogue. Their healing fell short of a priest, and their magic couldn’t compare to a mage’s devastating spells. Most players abandoned the class early, realizing they could never compete at the highest level. And yet, Ethan’s stats are off the charts. His talents are absurd. His potential is beyond anything he’s ever seen. The system has given him something no other Druid ever had—a divine bloodline, legendary abilities, and a growth rate that defies logic. If Druids were meant to be weak, then Ethan was the exception that would rewrite history. He’s not just here to reclaim his throne. He’s here to take everything. Factions will rise. Empires will fall. The strongest will thrive, and the weak will perish. And the ones who betrayed him? They won’t live to do it again.

Since then, the world of men was dominated by witches, establishing the seven witch kingdoms, which safeguards at the forefront of the demon invasion. In order to survive in the matriarchal society of the witch kingdoms, Vaan, like all other men who cannot use magic, had to learn how to service the witches to survive. Nevertheless, it did not come without its own benefits. Years of research have led the world to the discovery of intimacy between men and women could increase the witches' mana absorption. But at the same time, men could absorb some of this mana to improve their physique and lifespan.
