The author is a native English speaker based on his profile. So, my review of this webnovel is going to be more in line with that expectation and not the typical translation trash that litters this website. Writing Quality- There's a few grammar mistakes but nothing too serious. Story Development- For a while there the MC has some cultivation level dialogue going on and some typical thot in distress. But, the biggest issue this webnovel has is the set up itself. Presently the MC is playing a beta test version of the game and it's been 70+ chapters. Like a normal person would think, once the beta ends all the data is going to be wiped. So that means almost the entirety of the story written until then is going to be a waste unless some BS story development occurs to change common sense. Then we either have to deal with watching the MC rebuild his religion as some Nordic god again or deciding to be something else. Character Design- There's some cultivation type characters which is pretty low brow everything considered. Updating Stability- Consistent or maybe not? As a guy who's written 400+ chapters he spends an inordinate amount of time DCMA-ING bots that copy and paste his chapters onto other websites. Even threatens us the readers and not the bots he'll stop writing if the pirating doesn't stop. World Background- It's fine, but the author wastes too much time having the MC go on adventures and fighting in dungeons. The guy is a god, not some two bit adventurer. He should be out spreading his faith, doing miracles, or god forbid fathering kids in the mortal realm like a typical god. Just seriously, this beta test smorgasbord is do or die for this webnovel. If I was the author, I'd just wrap this up within ten chapters and than choose one of the typical demi-human races like the elves, dwarves, or the beastmen. Humans are overdone, especially since you've already chose them during the beta test, you've done orcs in your other webnovel, and the probably villainous race "primal whatever" just seems a bit lazy since you get to make up everything about a made up race.

LIKEOk, I'll actually respond to this one in as much detail as I can. First issue. Whether it's a translation or not should not affect the score you give. Two. Did you know that the majority of beta tests for online games don't reset the world or character selections? It usually continues on general release exactly where the Beta testers left it? 3. As you pointed out, it's still a beta test. To make the story more engaging I chose to show daily lives of the Gods where they actually have stuff to do. Making a game element to increase their power and therefore help in the ways they can interact with the mortals. Would you really read a book where players are gods but have nothing better to do than watch the NPC's play the game? 4. Oh, right. You mentioned my piracy notices. They don't threaten you, readers, at all if you read it. It clearly states at the start if you don't read it on Webnovel. Which you do. So the rest doesn't apply to you guys. These notices are meant to reach people in other places so more support comes to the actual book. 5. Updates. Ok, I can give you this one. It surprised me too how much time it's taking to edit, trash, rewrite, plan each chapter for this book. Not just chaps but every volume for the story and the story as whole picture outside of the volumes. Sometimes what I have planned has to be moved elsewhere. Affecting chapters and other things to make the story progress naturally. And to make sure it does not have a rushed ending. Don't even get me started on the research, like talking to streamers and such to get an idea of their mentality. Most of the character profiles are built on actual streamers and esports competitors I talk with on discord and twitch. Oh and that's just one book. Think what it's like having three. So no, my time is not spent only on DMCAing websites. I've just turned full time author and there's a lot of things that have to be ironed out to make this smooth so I can ensure constant releases. Don't forget that authors have lives too where they need to deal with real life issues, families, emergencies etc. I have a lot I'm dealing with to smooth out this transition from being a part time writer around work to being a full time one. Although I will say thanks for the review. It's appreciated to see feedback no matter what form it takes. Most of the issues you brought up have been said by others but nobody else put them all in one place for me to nail them at once. Oh yeah, there will be a race change. But, I will warn you it will definitely not be what everyone is imagining.
Когда уже главы для нищих русских?

Ok had to reply to this because your comment was autdeleted for language use. Though I can see it in my notifications. I'll focus on point 2 and 3 then. 2. Here's four games where beta testers kept their progress. Lost Ark, Ark Survival Evolved, Atlas, Fallout 71? It's become quite a common thing on newer games. So since this set in a possible future I've went with the trend on this subject. (I played these games during beta. And more studios are offering beta access to games where you keep your progress with a preorder.) 3. Just taking notes mythology you're talking about the Vikings themselves. Not the gods. Lore, mythology from that culture show Gods going off exploring and warring across the nine realms. While the same thing happens in Greek mythology I'll agree that theirs in particular focuses more on what the gods do on earth. There is a lot of mythology that focuses on what the gods do in their realms throughout different human cultures. Again, this is early days. It's merely the start of the story. The first volume doesn't even cover 10% of the projected story as a whole. I think it's obvious that the Gods will have a lot to do with their followers and their decisions in the future. Ah right. We're you not talking about the notices that are in the middle of chapters? The authors thoughts part was just letting people know what I was dealing with.
Ok, I think I see the issue here. You mentioned what Gods would be called at different tiers. As in you're taking those levels such as National God to be the point for them progressing to the next tier. As mentioned in the chapters. At Tier 2 he would be considered a National God. Meaning he had achieved the necessary power and following to reach this level. You have to remember that followers is not the only thing that makes him stronger. And I did mention that before Tier 2 the effect they could really have on the world would be minimal. So you can expect more interaction with mortals from that point on. So I have already made that point clear in the chapters. That's not to say that he won't have anything to do with the mortal realms until that point and I'll certainly consider doing more chapters that have him in the mortal realms and affecting them.
Man, this specific point I was making bounced on your head and flew over. I'm just not going to respond anymore as I don't see it being beneficial. I'm glad you responded to my review and subsequent posts, but absolutely nothing has changed for the better because of it.

I am writing a series. I just need to start posting it soon, but yeah, I was a bit rough with my review and comments. I feel bad about it too, but he's ghosted or maybe even died from his Covid-19 related issues. He was severely sick for a long time and then just disappeared.
