Wouldn't let me post an actual review so I'll just post it here: Can't believe webnovel has resorted to carrying books like this. I've seen a million of these on those apps with clickbait ads on facebook, where you have to download the app, but then the chapters get super expensive to unlock. I thought SimpleMTL was already the lowest WN could go, but guess not. Don't waste your time with this novel or any of the ones like this one. Basically the author will drag you in by teasing you with the possibilities of face slapping, but for some reason the MC just continues to take the abuse for no reason. Other cliche plot lines of this son-in-law genre are MC using their overwhelming powers to help his family, but someone else (usually the "bad guy" trying to steal his wife) receives (misunderstanding) / takes credit (lying) for it. tl:dr reading this novel will lower your IQ and make you feel like spitting blood. (legit it'll feel uncomfortable in your chest so you keep reading but the overwhelming face slapping never happens/is disappointing after chapters of build up)
