I read this novel till 400 to 450 chapters, on MTL. Then I dropped it because it was becoming too melodramatic, in addition to Slow-pace of the Plot. First 300 chapters are very good but slightly slow. But after 400 chapters, Mc takes acting too seriously as Mc takes unnecessary (debatable) risks like taking anti cancer treatment to act as cancer patient in 50-50 movie (which would have been bearable for me if this novel was fast paced but it's not) and I think after 400 chapters, it will be very hard for this novel to become popular. So, if you want to make this novel really popular then author, you have to take advantage that it's present weakness is only it's slow paced plot (after 400 chapters, there will be more and more weaknesses) and to counter act against this weakness of Slow-paced story, number of daily chapters released should increased to atleast 4 per day. I think, this method can boost this novel into top 50 original novels list until 400 chapters. This is just my opinion. Author, You can follow your own plan and ignore this comment.

LIKETrying to release more than two chapters a day takes a toll on me. Imho translating is more taxing than writing on your own. In writing you can just hit keys, not even looking at the screen, and erase some sentences or words if they don’t seem fit. Translating on the other hand requires formating, repetitive actions, micro-control, and more motivation. The first three exhaust me physically, especially my eyes, while the latter can make me burn out mentally sometimes. I’m not really paid for this, well, for the time being. And yeah, about the slow pace and drama. Some may find the pace just about right, but for some it may feel sluggish. For me, it is on a slower side. As for the drama, yeah, I do agree that there will be a lot of it in the upcoming chapters. But here is the catch: novels should strive to improve the reading experience, but the novels themselves might win something out of the things that seemingly degrade the said experience. In the case of this novel, sure, it will become overly dramatic and frustrating, but it is exactly because of that this novel will achieve a higher state of verisimilitude. It builds up in a slow and unerving fashion, but when it explodes, it explodes like motherf*cker. That drama and that slow pace make the world described in the novel more believable. Yes it is frustrating, but after the said frustration always comes catharsis. It is hard to read sometimes, but when you bear through it, you will get rewarded. Why we don’t remember a thing about easy fast food novels, but can always recall even the tiniest details of our favorite novels, because those novels nailed that carrot and stick system almost perfectly. Don’t worry, you experience is very relatable for me. I MTL-read from the first till the last chapter non-stop for two weeks. The best words to describe the experience would be “extremely bittersweet”
最佳影星 by 白色十三号 = Best Movie Star by White Thirteen. Try this one (readable by DeepL). This novel has much more compact and exciting story in first 300. Mc is smart and cunning. Character interactions are very good. Pacing is good. So, Translating 2 chapters per day is enough for this novel. This novel also faces another, but different, problem after 300 chapters. After 300 chapters, Mc becomes too practical and focuses too much on his Acting carrier. This leads to creation of a cycle "Get the female lead girlfriend for a year for their movie promotion then break up after their movie is released. Rinse and repeat" and this ruins the Romance Aspect of plot. But if you can ignore romance aspect then this is the Best Hollywood theme novel. Mc has a clear goal, that is, to earn money by becoming top Hollywood movie star. So, he prefers to to act in commercial huge box office movies. Starts with very realistic struggles of Mc and Mc's ability to use opportunities & creating new opportunities until 200 chapters to become Main lead. After 200 chapters, it shift focus on "Mc's carrier development from Just another Main lead actor to Top male lead actor" and "Celebrity's life". This is by far my favorite Hollywood themed novel.

I was kinda disappointed by the Mc. I wanted to relate to him, but the way he behaved... well, and he had several chances to redeem himself, either with Charlize Therone or Margot Robbie. The first 2-3 arcs are the best ones, then it goes downhill. I would rather recommend reading two other novels by the same author. One about a director of commercial movies (pumped up version of Michael Bay). The other is about a director who tackles the dark side of humanity in his movies. Both are much more cohesive throughout the whole read. The way they come to make movies is also exciting. Give it a try.

Yeah, i agree. I initially dropped the novel at Charlize theron arc due to the same reason. But couldn't find anything better, so I picked it up again (with mind set completely ignore romance elements) But this novel has the best first 300 chapters I have ever read in Showbiz novels. That's why I suggested it to you.

Well, I spent a whole summer reading all the Hollywood related novels. So it will take some time for a new novel to pop up.
