Mc was stupidly retarded and socially inept at beginning of his life, but after living over for more than 1000 years and going through hardship and betrayals, he is ONLY retarded after transmigration. His first reaction after transmigration was screamed in joy even before confirming his surrounding and this dude is supposedly lived over 1k years and has killed countless people.

You know, I probably wouldn't, to be honest. The amount of things in my head would be too much to behave like that, let alone someone that is hardened with supposedly over a thousand years of experience. I really doubt that they couldn't keep their calm. Maybe you're not old enough to understand that you learn how to temper your mind as you age and display emotions in less exaggerated manners.

you said it yourself, it's pretty ssubjective. I don't think you should compare this novel to what happened in the others because at the end of the they, what happened in those books are what their Authors made them do. We can't really tell how a thousand, five hundred, three hundred or millions of years old person will act because us humans can only live for at most over hundred years. So I don't see any reasons about arguing about this at all
then, what do you think 'most' and 'common' people just over 100+ y.o do if they comeback from the future? let's say he was born 1900. going through 2 wars, economic crisis and what not. let me hear your thoughts
and of course, don't forget to implement that to this novel prologue.
imagine being a 1000-year-old superbeing, you wouldn't be screaming with joy when you go back in time because that is the least likely possibility, the first thing you would think of especially if you have experienced an apocalyptic setting where supernatural powers become possible is to think that someone transported you somewhere else or captured your soul or something to make you relive your life over and over again especially if it was that of an enemy and even when you think that you have traveled back in time you wouldn't be screaming with joy because your a 1000-year-old being and should be calm in just about all situations as you have already experienced various supernatural things
