Learning how to read chinese is quite easy. I Learned by machine translating novels and listening to the audio. Took about a month to be well versed, GL.

Okay i am also angry at the reduction, but as this novel sounds interesting with a non-human MC, please don't rate it badly because of changes outside the translators control.
I machine translate line by line and word by word in the beginning and then it becomes paragraphs.

I use microsoft translator because the audio sounds more natural. In addition to that I use a chinese dictionary to look up some words too (any would do).

I did grow up with chinese neighbors, so I can understand somewhat. While I can understand and read to a degree, writing chinese is literally impossible for me. I can type to a certain extent though.
