So far this novel has a great story, the MC mainly is very well balanced, intelligent and slightly cold, but not an emotionless cunning bastard, the secondary characters have reasons to act as they do and not only because they are good or bad, many clichés they are avoided, especially the irritants and the gifts are well placed in the context and so they are not irritating, if I were to add something it would be the MC to have the perfect muscle just to disappear with the fragile appearance, and a different type of weapon for him to specialize, like a war hammer or halberd that match his rough style (which he also calls for muscle)

LIKEHey, I completely accept your opinion. What I want to say though is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion as well. I see no reason to spew hatred just because you don't like a story and how it progresses. - Now let me do address some of your points for fairness' sake. WHY DID THE FEMALE LEAD SAVE HIM IN CHAPTER 26? Did she save him though? The Elder from the Alchemists Guild said that he is no longer welcome to the guild, and not that he would take his life. The fiance casually breaking up with him? There is way more to it than what meets the eye. You are 'annoyed' that there was literally 1 chapter (literally only chapter10) where you saw his fiance breaking up with him? HE ENTERS A SECT AND A RANDOM PERSON STARTS BULLYING HIM AND SHE KNOWS A PERSON OF HIGH RANK. This again is the Alchemists Guild, and every action is properly explained in the chapter. If you go to work, don't you also have relations with people above your rank? All in all, eery single action is explained in the novel and there is nothing that has happened in even one chapter for the sake of just happening. I completely respect your opinion to not like a novel, however, and wish you the very best in whatever else you read

It's normal to have a bad day. As for whether it's normal for a receptionist, to randomly target someone... I think that it's not too uncommon for someone who had a bad day, to actually take out their anger on someone they don't know, especially when there is little to no fear of losing their job. My point thus is, that it's not that uncommon for someone in real life to treat you badly just because they can. Things don't always go as anticipated, and when someone has a bad day, it's not uncommon to take their anger on someone else unfairly, just like how a receptionist can treat customers in the Alchemist's Guild badly. In any case, thanks for giving it a try even if it wasn't your cup of tea.

a halberd or a guandao would be cool tho, love your story, could be like a crescent halberd(guanyu weapon) forged using a fragment of time, and it can slash the past and present and future like the pwrson from SAO alicization

your question is your own answer. just like how you targeted someone or something bcz you were too aggravated, the receptionist did the same. ... we are humans and we like to read what we can relate to. and that causes cliches to appear. when certain scenarios reappear bcz we like them, are called cliches. major cliches can be avoided but there are many minor ones which will appear one way or another (unless you are reading some professional novel). it would be good as long as things can be logically proven and not too unreasonable.
