The characters in this book seem intriguing, melding well with the clear threat posed by "it". There are minor grammatical errors, but a few edits will fix that up. [img=recommend]

Apocalypse Days: I Rule with Foresight and a Powerful Son

You’d think seeing the future would give me a head start on surviving the apocalypse. I had it all planned—until everything I knew shattered when my husband sacrificed himself to save me and our son. Now it’s just me, my three-year-old son Leo, and my cursed gift of foresight that only seems to kick in when it’s nearly too late. I’m doing my best to keep us safe, to find food, to make some kind of plan— “Mommy?” I glance down, trying to ignore the tug on my pant leg as I focus on our supplies. “Not now, Leo. Mommy’s thinking.” “Mommy!” I sigh and finally look down. My three-year-old is standing there, clutching… I blink. “Leo, where did you get a knife?” He shrugs, grinning like it’s the most natural thing in the world. My heart stutters. “No, really. Where did you find that?” I try not to laugh. I mean, he’s three. Maybe he just—found it somewhere? But the next day, it’s a water bottle. Then, a tiny flashlight, somehow with batteries still inside. I don’t even know what else; he’s pulling things out one by one with the pleased grin of a kid who’s just figured out his favorite game. Well, we may just survive this mess after all. Now, if only the universe could have spared me from him. I don’t even know his name, but I know his type: tall, broad, and annoyingly handsome, with an air of calm control that’s out of place in this chaos. Ex-military, if I had to guess, with a voice that’s just as infuriating as his smirk. The man has a habit of showing up at the worst—or best—possible times, with a gun at the ready and secrets buried as deep as those bright green eyes. I mean, he’s probably useful, but I’m trying to keep my eyes on the prize here: survival. For Leo and me. Because, foresight or no foresight, nothing is guaranteed in this new world—except the fact that people like him are trouble.

Stuck with a cheap husband her cousin didn't want who can't have children? Rarely comes home? And throws in an entire planet to boot? Qu Tong wondered if there could be such good fortune? She grew energy fruits and vegetables, fed them on schedule, and incidentally improved the food for the entire squad by taking care of their home. The Insect Clan attacked, His Highness was injured, ditching class to visit, pah! To check in. His Highness was too aloof; unable to charm him after a long time, she went online searching for strategies and even inquired about how to reasonably inherit all of her husband's wealth in the case of divorce. The next day, Si Yuting glanced at the top search trends, then looked at his guilt-ridden dainty wife and laughed, "That's difficult, considering I'm just divorced, not dead." Well-behaved and clever in front of others, behind their backs she did nothing of the sort. When her shop was reported, she cursed everyone who dissed her in the comment section one by one and blocked them all, leaving the netizens stunned: "Who taught her to curse like that?!!" In the academy competition, the enemy lacked honor, ganging up to bully the weak; Qu Tong pulled out a potion, directly turned the tables, and kicked them all out of the competition—no one can play me for a fool. When encountering a Star Thief, Qu Tong reassured everyone, "Don't panic, I'll go reason with them." Then she single-handedly drove her mecha, cornering the Star Thief: "This is a robbery, hand over everything valuable." ... One day. Qu Tong, holding her medical report, asked, "If I say I can reproduce asexually, would you believe me?" "Guess."

Fight, Flight, or Freeze: The Healer's Story

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wake up in a body that wasn't yours? A much, much younger body? I can't say that I had ever given it much thought. That was until one night when a patient entered the ER where I was working at and shot me point blank in the head. You know, if he wanted a second opinion, all he had to do was ask. But that's besides the point... Some how, some way, I work up in a strange hospital with a woman that looked suspiciously like my mother holding my hand and crying. Over joyed to see her, it took me a few minutes to realize that I was no longer the 25 year old, successful doctor at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the world. Nope, I was a 6 year old girl that for a moment... wanted her mother. When the apocalypse comes, it is everyone for themselves. I have three choices: do I fight for what I want? Will I run away and hide, or will I freeze when the demons of my past come back to haunt me? You might know me as the Healer, but this is my story to tell. ------ Fight, Flight, or Freeze is the second novel in the Rebirth in the Apocalypse series, this time featuring the Healer: Wang Tian Mu and her men. You won't have to read the first one to be able to understand this one, and she is not going to stay a child for the whole thing. Li Dai Lu and her guys will be popping in occasionally, but this is strictly Wang Tian Mu's story! I hope you enjoy! Black In the Water

Where mystery meets romance... —Excerpt— We lay next to each other, both of us not saying a thing, but I feel comfortable. I don’t have the impulse to have to talk to him to avoid an awkward silence because it has never been awkward with Ash, I realise. “You asleep?” he whispers to me. “Nope,” I reply quietly. “It’s weird because my body is so tired but I can’t seem to shut my brain off.” “Me neither,” he says. I hear the crackling of the fresh sheet under us move and realise Ash has turned to face me. “Uhm, what?” I ask dubiously. “Nothing, I’m just trying to find a comfortable position.” “Okay,” I say as I stare at him in the dim glow of the candles. Ash stares back at me, his hand lifts to push away a strand of hair that has fallen into my eyes, then he closes his eyes. He is asleep in the next moment, with his hand frozen on my cheek. Usually, with anyone else, I would push his hand away because it feels wrong and uncomfortable. But his caress felt good against the slight burn on my skin. And as he rests his hand on my cheek, I can’t help but think about how no one has ever held me close to them and makes me feel this way. Even though Ash and I are far from holding each other close, just a touch of his hand comforts me in ways that others’ hugs have tried and failed. Without much thinking, I push Ash’s fallen hair out of his eyes and rest my hand against his cheek. In the next moment, as my eyes start to droop, I feel a pull of his cheek against my palm and realise he is smiling. —————————————————————————————————————————— When an apartment building is plagued by a strange substance in its water, its residents uncover a foreboding mystery that will perish them all. With a deadly fog that blocks their escape, they must now forget their differences and work together to overcome the horrifying events that ultimately threaten their survival.
