(The novel itself is good and interesting, so my review here is false story wise. It deserved 4.7) But the way it is presented and translated here in Webnovel is not good in anyway, so I am giving it 1 star. Originally it is supposed to be a novel the same length as other Korean novels, around 200 chapters, already completely written. But the author, or the translator for Webnovel is scum, so they cut it up into more parts to earn more money. Now around 39 to 40 chapters are cut into 60 chapters. That means the whole story is dragged out into around 300 - 350 chapters. It is such a scummy move that its just disgusting. Gone are the good days when you can novel chapters in their entirety. Now you can only read 50% or 60% of the original chapters, so go thank the perpetrator responsible for this "blessing"

webnovel charges chapters based on wordcount, so a big chapter sliced in 2 would cost the same. However I agree this shitty company is corrupt and scummy in general. so take a like.
Not more, if you use fast pass to read. Every chapter has the "same" cost, 1 fast pass.

ya know usually your reviews are horrible.... but i totally agree with you for once, though i will say they'll get the same amount of profit even if thy just had one big chapter this is just to lessen the burden on them
While you have a point, a lot of people prefer cheaper chapters as compared to longer 'whole' ones. Besides, if they've never seen the original, they'll never know...
psst, it doesnt really matters. As long as it´s translated you can read it for free on somewhere else. you pulling own the rating only means that there might never be an english translation unttil greedy qidian decides to give away the english copyright.

I agree but I do want to comment/add: It's not the translator who cuts it, it's Webnovel/Qidian. To my understanding, the translator are just given what they're supposed to translate and they have no control about how Webnovel releases it...

Well, other Korean novels I saw split the chapters in WN version and only join then in the published (physical) version. That's on the Korean raws. Aside from that I think is quite petty and hypocritical to be bashing Webnovel while reading and enjoying their content. Were you expecting that because it comes from a communist country it should all be free?
I think most will hesitate to read if a single chapter would cost around 40 SS! It is a wise move for both readers and translator.

This novel has bigger chapters which costs webnovel more money to translate more than the usual 40$. But it cost just 1 fast pass to unlock that chapter, so webnovel will loose money if they do it like they do it usually. The only other alternative was to make each chapter cost 2 fast passes. What they did was kind of necessary.

To be honest, reading 10 chapters a day is for weaklings. You need at least 50 chapters to feel good, 100 to get high from the adrenaline, and 200-300 to spend your whole day relaxed on bed on weekends. 10 chapters is how much I read while I poop. Not to hate, but you weak bro.

I dont care much about the cost since I refuse to pay a single cent. What I do care about is how this system limits the number of chapters I can read in a day
