There are times when the story that you like, become the story that you dislike because of the idealist of author want to force some plot he want... Example: The Last of Us 2 And this story It become annoying when author nerfed the MC just because he want to write bull**** rivalry... Moreover the rival is random OC, we don't care about him, and it's make the story less enjoyable. Good Rivalry needs some build up, and not randomly he is as strong as the MC, altho you write some reason why he is that strong, that just become like your unneeded reasoning for that forced plot. IMHO, rivalry plot is not gonna works in fanfics, because majority of the reader doesn't care for the rival. That will be different in original novel.because you can build up the rival, but in this story... No... I don't think it'll works... You just make many of your reader feel irritated if you forced it... Will still read it but let's see... Maybe I will drop it if some forced plot that's make me feel uncomfortable still happen... Oh, forgot to say, I recently always commented something like this when do review Please thinking about what kind of feeling you want to deliver to reader, do you want the reader feel blood pumping while reading your story, feeling relaxed, feeling sadness, or feeling happy, you should incorporate it to the plot... Think if you write this chapter will the reader feeling what I want they to felt, if I write this paragraph, will the reader feel what I want they to felt, etc... So the story you make will not become random plot without feeling, and also not triggered your reader

Yeah deleting reviews is stupid I guess it’s just to stop them people going around just rating every novel 1 star
If they weren't allowed to delete reviews, then people could abuse the ratings with bots or simply petty readers creating multiple accounts to downvote. It makes sense, and if the author deletes legit reviews(which is also abuse), it tends to reflect negatively towards him if he isn't able to delete all comments that tell people that he deletes bad reviews or comments. Like here, he didn't delete them all, which allowed me to see these comments and therefore avoid this fanfic.
Too bad they don't delete positive review spammers. Have seen in many novels where same person has left like 30 -5star reviews
although I understand that retards that give bad reviews simply because they don't like a novel ruin the review section.rather than give the power to delete reviews and comments to the authors it would be best if it were done by moderators. quite frankly the rating system in web novel cannot be trusted not because of the Patty readers that down vote, but because of the brainless five stars that appear on every single novel.
You're right, I was just saying that there are ways to see the true nature of the novel as long as comments aren't deleted. I don't trust user reviews anyway because of what you said about brainless upvotes. Plus, when it comes to webnovels and general entertainment, it's largely based on subjective tastes. Stars don't mean much without comments and reviews that tell you a basic description of what the story is about.
