Alright so if non existent summary wasn't enough heres my impression after 9 chapters. Dude got kidnapped by some intergalactic space secret police because of a pendant that looked like the one this random highly wanted assassin had. His golden finger is two fold 1) he got compensated with a perfect gene serum that opened his potential and 2) the phantom guy (assassin) was like in the pendant or something and now is like "pocket grandpa" except young. Earth is considered a .5 star civilization, but on earth there is some understanding of supernatural powers and the people who hold them, but obviously not at a high level. Its a cultivation novel I guess now, but is pretty boring up to this point because I don't get the main characters motivation. He likes being lazy, has no obvious enemies, and generally has no real extrinsic reason to want to be strong. Its prose is pretty good but the story is boring, maybe someone with even more free time then I will soldier on and write a more complete review but for now its give or take - all depends if this sounds like your cup of tea.

I read 40 chapters. It's rather good, very similar genre to Galactic Dark Net with enough difference to not be considered rip off. It will gor sure follow similar path with MC becoming soveregin entity wanted by universe with humanoid and insectoid species conflict in the background or in reverse with species battle as a main focus in later stages. Original has more then 1500 chapters at the moment and i would like to read more until at least 200-300 chapters. If i will read more then 300 depends on future development though with this number of chapters i don't belive it's too disapointing.

I'm not sure what chapter you're on but for me, after reading all of them, it's quite exciting. I disagree with that it's boring because there's no concrete enemy (deduced from what you said), it makes it somewhat more realistic and more appealing to readers (my opinion) .

"He likes being lazy, has no obvious enemies, and generally has no real extrinsic reason to want to be strong." - No problem here, I think. At least better than novels where MC starts cultivating after his family, friends & city gets killed and wife/GF taken. I mean if a normal person had a chance, he would surely grow stronger slowly & steadily.

If the whole novel is about cultivating to get strong its diffuclt for readers (or me at least) to enjoy it if the MC has no purpose or reason for it. Its not that I want a cliche but a character cultivating without purpose is just a slice of life disguised as a cultivation novel.

I’m lazy, have almost zero enemies, and don’t really have a reason to try and become strong. However, I wouldn’t just let it go if or when I get an opportunity to become strong.

I more than often prefer an MC who just wants to become strong for the sake of getting stronger than an MC that wants revenge/ressurect his family as his motivation.

Yeah, it’s more realistic that way too. Human nature is one of chasing power or knowledge or both.

hmmm? I'm sorry I don't agree with you... there is nothing realistic in what you said... humanity isn't just acquire knowledge and strength for the sake of knowledge and strength itself... they have different motivation and most of human motivation is to search for comfort... maybe the easiest way is just remember why you studied hard at school? to search for knowledge? or to acquire a decent job for your future? or maybe just doing it because other people also doing it? ooorr, because your parents told you so? strength and knowledge is just a way for you to acquire your goal... get stronger for the sake of become strong? maybe there is people like that... but it's on the smaller side...

Let's change it to rich, get richer for the sake of becoming richer. There you go. Everyone want to become rich like everyone want to becoming stronger. I want to get stronger so I could have 50 random hobbies without tired lol

let me ask you... why did people want to get rich? to get richer? nah... there are different reason... there are people who become rich so they got the thing they want to buy, or just to want some financial stability, or to get acknowledgement, etc many other reason... I didn't say that people don't want to become richer or stronger... what I say is searching strength just to become stronger without any goal is not how you define something as realistic or not... is searching for strength to get revenge unrealistic? no, it is not unrealistic... but it's a cliche, and the people above is confused between something cliche and something unrealistic... lol searching for strength for the sake of become stronger also something that can be a goal, and it can be realistic... but I doubt something like that happens... even when you play RPG games and grinding like a crazy to level up, is it just to level up? no, what people search is different... maybe one of it is a sense of satisfaction... and not leveling up just for the sake of leveling up...

There's no need for a specific reasons, because THE WORLD, because THE SYSTEM guiding us,wanted us to get wealthier and to get stronger. You can't own the world, but the wealthiest already created the economic system that we use, so we had to move as the system want it. I'm not reading this novel yet lmao but I'll try to relate with the argument lol

Okay now you study get good grades, to get good university ,to get an degree, to get an good job ,to make good money ,to get good lifestyle. By having an good lifestyle you can be more lazy. Different people run after different things as someone wants to live long (immortal) someone wants to invincible(strongest) someone want protect their loved ones, someone wants to change the world. When chasing their respective goals/interests one would cross paths with other where they might become friends or enemies. World is full of possibilities so it doesn't always necessary to have an antagonist in every single arc but of course there should be at least some or it Will make the story dull. So become strong itself is also an motivation like revenge/conflict. And who said slice of life novel don't have any motivation or antagonist, it is only that it is more detailed every single thing MC does so they are very slow in plot wise .
