It's a decent read, but I got pulled out of the story a lot by the world, supposed to be a military school but there is zero discipline and pretty much the entire story plays out like "Lord of the Flys" with older kids/stronger kids deciding on the rules and punishments. All this is justified by this apparently making the weak kids want to get stronger so they sell themselves to the military to get resources, which in this world the global military that is fighting an technologically superior race, thinks that's how their going to win by holding power and privilege to a few people instead of you know, what a military actually values like discipline and team work. So anyway I quit at chapter 50, but if your looking for "slowish build vampire Lord of the flies high school". **. It's really not that bad, just fell short in a few too many places for me to continue.

Agreed,The books is written in Xianxia/Wuxia style and the Military is just a Sect not an actual army. The story is full of filler content for word count, in the style of useless info dumps that have 0 effect on the story at large, you know the type, its mentioned once and never seen again. The MC is really dumb makes 1 bad decision after the other but gets saved by plot armor. And speaking speaking of plot, its just bad, everything that's introduced feels forced.
I’ve read Lord of the Flies, and I have to disagree with you that to an extent, there was discipline. Though, in certain scenes, it was lacking; for ex, the dance, killing, torturing, deforesting, etc. But, in some cases, their behaviors cant really be justafied as being “zero discipline[d]” when derived from moments of panic/irrationality driven by their fears. Note, there are two groups on the island. While they were both affected by the madness and fear instilled by the “beast” on the island, one appears more prominent in the aspects of discipline, and the other was more instinctive and contagious, lacking in the aspects of discipline. There was no traits such as physical power that determined the “chief” position on the island. Both Jack and Ralph were biguns. On one hand, Ralph was a more civilized emphasized person from the society he was raised in, who was also favored among the children because they found him charismatic, not particularly strong as emphasized by the author. On the otherhand, Jack was jealous by the fact that he was not recognized, appearing leas charismatic and civilized as Ralph, or in your words, “less powerful.” Which is completely opposite nearing the end, when Jack was the one who appeared most charismatic and wise than Ralph, being favored by the children despite of the murder that was committed. This is because the author’s emphasis wasn’t on whether the children was older or stronger, but rather the effects and dangers of a group/mob, and how it is the inherent evil within humanity that led them astray than the stereotypical physical traits. This is also why you can’t compare “Lord of the Flies” to this because I don’t know what the actual ??? you ate that led you to compare that good book to this “slowish build vampire Lord of the Flies highschool.” “Lord of the Flies” had an actual plot order. Despite being short, it did reflect how it is a bit lacking on the character development part, making it difficult to symphathize with the children through their personal life. Hence, the author developed series of archetype to allow the readers to sympathize with the children through the the lens of humanities than their personal life. That is the theme of the story than this senseless beatings of childrens in “My Vampire System,” which according to their world common sense, the “zero disciplinary” is just them being “idots” by nature despite being raised in a modern society fighting a “technologically advanced” civilization. Sucks To Suck.
