I checked the profiles of the people that thanked the top rated review on this story, and a lot of the likes on it are from people saying "thank you for warning me, I won't read the story." I'm going to lay out all of the "dumb decisions" people said he made. 1: No familia would recruit him since he doesn't have falna with no experience. He's 3 years from when the plot starts and has 0 money, skills or connections to get himself a job. All businesses are owned by different familia, and they will hire there own people first. He had no choice but to join the soma familia or starve to death, unless you want him to join the non exploration miach familia that will almost get wiped out in a dungeon dive soon. The only reason lili took so long to buy herself out of the soma familia is that she just carries bags and barely gets payed. The others tried somas wine and waste all of their money on it. 2: People are saying that he jumped into the dungeon with no training and got injured by a single goblin. The protagonist thought "how is a normal person supposed to handle a rabid monster trying to bite him?" And then he froze up in his first life or death situation. He has the highest swordsman level of anyone in the series in later chapters, but how is he supposed to get training when he has 0 money to pay a trainer? He had the choice of going a few days without meals while doing hard exercise while trying to figure out how to swing a sword on his own, or going to the first floor of the dungeon without being hungry and fighting individual goblins that have a literal stick as a weapon. Remember, it was said in danmachi that most people enter the dungeon with no training and then die after going to the second floor too soon. This isa story where the protagonist faces setbacks in the beginning before these challenges change him and make him stronger. Not just physically, but mentally. He's now the captain ofthe souma Familia and rules it with an iron fist. There's another part that people will complain about, but I don't want to spoil it for you. He rights the wrong really quickly, like in 2 chapters

LIKEI know, right? At no point was he a slave. There was a time skip after he joined the familia and he was shown being forced to give his Captain some money once. It said that he had to give another guy money in the beginning, but beat that guy up a month later. He was shown giving one of them money a single time and he literally returned to the soma familia 5 days later and killed the captain that took money from him. Then he took over the familia
