The story was going good..and the concept of purity was quite fresh to me...but the involvement of higher beings basically letting MC suffer for their amusement...the incomplete world arc (even if he gets back on a later date),the emergence of taint and a system out of nowhere...but mostly the sudden change in MC's behavior from being good boy to being a dick who doesn't give **** after banging a girl was really off puting for me. I'm not saying it's bad but it's not my cup of tea. Overall people might love this story...so do give it a read.

This is my first attempt at writing anything so thanks for not being a bad person and not writing a crappy review just because something you didn’t like happened like many others before. With Eto he actually has extremely strong feelings for her which is why he tries to act like a dic*head also his emotions are easily affected because of Taint and Purity and to end this reply off, the Tokyo Ghoul arc is ending in the next chapters. Anyway, hope you have a great quarantine.

What are the plot holes I’ve left, it’s hard for me to see what’s been left out due to my knowledge of everything that’s been written and what’s not been written. In other words, I don’t know what I’ve left out as I believe that I’ve included everything. Thanks anyway.
Well it's not much..but u do realize that the higher beings are the cause for his misfortune..like his first brutal death , him going through all those traumatic experiment where those higher beings could have intervened but they let him be just so they can see how he would turn out, random introduction of character from different multiverse...and at some point I'm sure he will be very strong to the point where he can have a talk with those being...and since he is embodiment of purity I can't really see him going against those beings and yeah that's about it as I have not read any further...hope u see my point.
I do get what you mean, him dying in the fire was his own doing as he thought it was a joke and then when he was going to close the ad, on an empty street, a man bumped into him which caused him to submit the “dying in a fire”. The higher beings are not necessarily any of his misfortune other than his death. Haruto wasn’t the first Embodiment of Purity and later also rebirths the opposite of Purity, Taint. Taint is the origin of all death and everything evil and it turns Haruto into the Embodiment of Taint and Purity so he in recent chapters actually develops thoughts related to the void figure who is Mimir from Norse Mythology.
